This could be fun. Melo wants to go to NY but the Knicks have squat to offer. He's gonna want to sign that 65mil extension but obviously wants out of Denver; maybe Kroenke actually makes the best trade for his organization?
I do like him going to Washington, but I doubt he likes it. Still, good young players + expiring contracts = trade talks. Would he like being second banana to Wall? Would he tolerate a rebuilding situation? How much happiness does 65mil buy?

is incredible how ignorant people can be. Melodies is the man, and some haters just can't stant that LeBron is better than Kobe, who is never been by himself in the Lakers. Before it was Shaq, now is Gasoline, he is never been by himself. Melodies and LeBron one way or the other have cariex their teams. Remember when the Lakers didn't make the playoffs cause Kobe was by himself? Stop flaming players for not wanting to play alone, no team has won a championship based in only one player.
The best options for Melo out there are Orlando and Washington in my opinion. With the newly acquired John Wall, and Kirk Hinrich, not mentioning that having Josh Howard coming as a sixth man cor him could be a team funvto watch. If he goes to orlando he can pair with Jameer Nelson in a style already familiar to Melo's and Dwight Howard in the paint who every year seems more and more unstopable. He could beOrlando's missing piece.

Melo is the man. Would be okay if he stayed in Denver, but if he leaves it is all business. Folks thinking guys cant handle being the man have no understanding of the history of this league. If he plays with other elite players it will extend is career, so he can keep getting large contracts and set generations of his family up with a lifestyle he was not able to have while growing up. Professional sports is a business, stop thinking these guys have to be loyal to a city or fans. Owners and fans are not loyal to the players who go out and play their hearts out - Babe Ruth was traded, Wayne Gretzky was traded, MJ was distanced by the Bulls. Enjoy the teams that are put on the field, court, etc for you and cheer them on, and if you don't like them; don't buy tickets, merch ,etc.
It is Denvers choice to think they have to trade him before his contract is up. Melo is going to play this season and fulfill his obligations both parties signed on. If they want to get players or picks before next year then go ahead, but Melo should not be demonized for keeping his options open when his contract expires. If owners think they have a player that can help them win a championship, then as a business owner it is their responsibility to build around that piece with everything they can. It is the owners who want the fans money , so they have the responsibility to put the very best product out there and not spin it to the fans that is the players fault. Don't let billionaire owners fool you, it is about money for them. They don't care who is on the floor for them, if they did care about who represents their company, half these guys would not be working for them if they did not play sports.

I agree... go to Orlando, Melo. After this year, Vince Carter's huge salary is off the books.
And if Nuggets end up trading him, I'd really like to see him go back "home" to the Wizards. Yeah, he's from Baltimore, but D.C. is close enough. Wizards have quite a few players they can trade. Josh Howard, Al Thornton, Gilbert Arenas, Kirk Hinrich.
And if Nuggets are getting rid of Melo, they are "starting over" so they might want to get rid of JR Smith while they do that. Wizards... get on the phone!

Wouldn't surprise me to see Melo bolt, but I wonder if these league sources are the same ones who were convinced that LeBron was going to re-sign with Cleveland or go to the Bulls.
