Why does no one ever give Jones a chance? In the D-League last year, he averaged 18 ppg, 16 rpg, and 2 blocks, plus he shot 60%. Playing spotty minutes for 4 NBA clubs over 5 years, he hasn't done too bad at the highest level either: 11 rpg, 1.6 blocks, and shot 51% per 36 minutes. In the league, his career 17.4% Reb%, 3.6% Block%, and 51% FG% match up well with All-Star bigs such as Chris Bosh (14.9, 2.4, 49%), Tim Duncan (18.5, 4.5, 51%), Zach Randolph (48%, 16.7, 0.7), and Pau Gasol (14.4, 3.6, 52%).
Here's a case for why he (and a few other D-Leaguers) should be in the league that I penned in February.
