Thanks Mitch for getting Barnes! I’m loving the energy and attitude of our team.
Its going to take a LOT of toughness to get the rings again this year. Every single NBA player knows they need to beat the Lakers. Every single team knows they need to beat the Lakers. Every practice player knows their team needs to get by the Lakers.
Every single player in the NBA knows the Lakers are the best team on Earth.
So they will come out to BATTLE the Lakers. Every game, every night, for the next 100 games.
Wimps can’t make it. Warriors are required. Like Barnes!

Matt Barnes the heir apparent to Kurt Rambis? I remember Rambis coming into games when players went at Magic or Kareem and showing them what it really meant, by taking them out. Rambis was that team’s enforcer on the court. Barnes and Artest, together, add a whole level of craziness that could really be fun to watch if someone gets stupid. I would love to see LeBron talking trash and get into it with Barnes. A double ejection or a fight between them? Perfect. I think Kupchak picked barnes up to be the new Rambis. Nice!

Matt Barnes acquisition by the Lakers has yet to be determined if it is a good move. I thought Barnes was a jerk when the Lakers last played the Magic… with his posturing and aggressive antics toward Kobe… I actually thought he should have been ejected. Now the Lakers have Barnes so I guess the Lakers now have someone who will get in the face of a player who is physically harrassing Kobe; like Barnes himself. In any event, the guy could be an enforcer type player who can make a shot every now and then. Artest and Barnes should be roomies on the road.

According to this article it was a love tap, which is not a slap or punch or kick or bite or etc. If that’s the case, what’s the fuss. The referees didn’t do anything, a fight didn’t break out, and the whole situation fizzled out. Is Rick Lewis the cry baby. Do players get in trouble now for just touching someone. No harm no foul.

Kid should be thrown out of the summer league for putting his hands on a coach. yes the coach was wrong for talkin smack to a player and should receive a warning from the league but you have to draw a hard line in the sand when it comes to physical contact between players and coaches. am i wrong? you cant make an argument that I am.

I can understand players doing trash talk, not really, it’s childish. If a head coach or assistant does trash talk, he shouldn’t be surprised if a player going out of bounds on a play accidently runs over him. If your a player on the court you might get an elbow in your teeth for talking smack. If you are an assistant coach cowering on the bench don’t think you are not immune from retribution. What kind of coach does that sheet, just a punk-ace beech.
