King LeBron knows who's been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake

Aug 11, 2010, 8:35 AM EDT

ljames_points.jpgEver since his announcement that he was taking his talents to South Beach, LeBron James has taken a lot of criticism.

And he’s been making a list and checking it twice, of who has been naughty and nice, as he announced on his twitter account.

Don’t think for one min that I haven’t been taking mental notes of everyone taking shots at me this summer. And I mean everyone!

That, predictably, led to more backlash on twitter, where plenty of people laughed at the immaturity of the comment, some mocked him for trying to be an Internet bully, while others asking if he had taken “mental notes” on his shortcomings with the Cavaliers. The reaction was far more negative than positive afterward online.

ESPN’s Arash Markazi, in his pulled piece on hanging with LeBron for a night that the network pulled, said that LeBron seemed more like a child wrapped in a man’s body. The more we hear from him, the more that sounds like the truth. LeBron is not malicious or mean spirited, just immature. Not someone who takes into consideration the reaction to what he does or says, but rather just does it.

That twitter announcement just seems to be the latest step along those lines.

Oops. Now I’ve probably been taken note of, too.

Clevelander is RIGHT ON THE MONEY. Everyone in Cleveland knew there was a distict probability he would leave and he had the right, he was a FA. We hoped he wouldn’t, but after the fiasco he created by throwing the game against Boston, it was pretty much a given. That aside, you’re right, he gave us 7 years in Cleveland, and we all showed him the “love” and paid him back dearly by showing up at the games and buying his crap from the team store. Then came the “decision”. He displayed a total lack of class and showed everyone how immature and self-centered he was. He could have donated the 2 mil he got from that televised stupidity, recovered it in about a week in interest on his holdings, held a five minute press conference and accomplished the EXACT SAME THING. We would have wished him well, but NO, he had to put on his faggy shirt, get up there, proclaim to be someone, frankly, he has not yet become and shove his move in our faces. HE created this, and somehow the Cavs fans are to blame. We really don’t talk about him anymore. Sure, our team is lost without him and Zydrunas, but trust me, we will perservere and move on, wins or no wins. Stop for one minute to think how you would have felt had this happened to YOUR beloved team. I guess it’s easy for Heat fans to tell us to “get over it”, but what if D Wade had pulled that crap? I read many times he was seriously considering a move to the Bulls. How would you have liked your own version of “the decision”? Pompous ass… good riddens.

roflmao, are you always this stupid? Seriously, what a f’n ahole.
Wake the beast? Crap fool. Lebron’s mom was getting banged by his team mate and he was to stupid to realize it. Wake the beast, please.

The alledged rapist has proven is talents by winning multiple championships. Instead of trying to team up with other superstars, the alledged rapist had Shaq dispensed from the team. The problem is that Lebron wants to be seen as the greatest but he had to team up with an all star to try and win ring because he couldn’t do it on his own. We also need to mention that the Cavs were in the Eastern Conference Championship multiple times which indicates they were a good team with a reasonable chace of winning a championship. Most guys in the league would be happy to have the chances Queen James has had.

  10. FRKSHW - Aug 11, 2010 at 5:16 PM

The reaction to Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant would be different because they are already proven winners. Lebron hasn’t accomplished anything and has no basis to threaten.

    Here’s a tweet for you Bron-Bron.
YOU ARE A QUITTER. YOU QUIT ON THE CAVALIERS. BUT, MORE IMPORTANTLY YOU QUIT ON YOURSELF. ANY PERSON WHO HAS THE GOD-GIVEN TALENT YOU POSSESS AND WILLINGLY TAKES A SECOND FIDDLE POSITION IS ONLY SHORT CHANGING THEMSELVES. NO MATTER HOW MANY SHINY TROPHIES YOU GET THEY WON’T REALLY BE YOURS …EVER. THEY WILL BELONG TO D-WADE NOT YOU. HE CONNED YOU INTO SACRIFICING YOUR PLACE IN NBA HISTORY TO ASSURE HIS OWN. IN OTHER WORDS, YOU ARE NOW SCOTTIE PIPPEN. THE TRIVIA ANSWER TO WHO PLAYED WITH D WADE ON THE 2010 MIAMI HEAT. WHAT A RUBE.

jajajaja!! What do Laker fans have to be jealous of? Your 1 championship over the Mavericks?
    Or your foolish comments:
“i hope that lebron gives you ample reasons to hate him over the next 4-5 championship rings he brings home to miami”
    Go Lakers!

  21. LeBron Who - Aug 11, 2010 at 10:34 PM

LeBron is all hype and no substance. The reason he can’t win is he has no killer instinct. This you get when you become an adult. Shaq would never win without Kobe and His killer instinct. Lebron might do well because D Wde has it. But LBJ is a child. He was told all along he is it, he is it. So he always assumed he could make anything happen. This is the same thought process Tyson had. Even though Evander Holyfield cheated both fights(headbutting constantly for fear of being hit by Tyson),he believed he should win and win easily. And when he didn’t, and things didn’t go exactly as planned, he threw a tantrum. They are very similar.

First, to all those who cannot read about Lebron James without some Kobe talk….. it is possible to look at a guy who takes 25 shots to get his 28 points, and never lifted a team up without star power in the post, and tanks 1 in 4 games by taking shots with two defenders in his face instead of passing the ball the the embarassment of riches lurking in the middle and think he’s a wee bit overrated without being a “hater”
Secondly, to Lebron: don’t worry buddy, these “fans” have a real short term memory problem, the moment the championships come pouring in (and they will)they’ll all be back on the bandwagon; just like the Kobe talk went from “selfish”,”brat”, “ball hog” and “dynasty wrecker” to “champion” and “killer”, just because Pau came to town and the good times got rolling again.

  24. Bill-Sonora - Aug 11, 2010 at 11:48 PM

“right…because kobe didnt publicly demand a trade or anything”
Thats my point. He did publicly demand a trade out of frustration for the lack of moves by the Laker front office at the time. But he did let them know. Lebron James just cut off communication altogether with the GM and then di let him know via “The Decision” on ESPN. That was just disrespectful and thats why there is no way you can compare this with Kobe.

Stop comparing Lebron to Kobe. Kobe was and is loyal to the Lakers. He comunicated his frustrations to the Lakers. Lebron just jumped ship without a word to the team. And another thing, Pau came to town and got BETTER BECAUSE of Kobe. Lebron LEFT to TRY to get a championship. I dont hate Lebron, but dont compare him to a true champion.
