King LeBron knows who's been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake

Aug 11, 2010, 8:35 AM EST

ljames_points.jpgEver since his announcement that he was taking his talents to South Beach, LeBron James has taken a lot of criticism.

And he’s been making a list and checking it twice, of who has been naughty and nice, as he announced on his twitter account.

Don’t think for one min that I haven’t been taking mental notes of everyone taking shots at me this summer. And I mean everyone!

That, predictably, led to more backlash on twitter, where plenty of people laughed at the immaturity of the comment, some mocked him for trying to be an Internet bully, while others asking if he had taken “mental notes” on his shortcomings with the Cavaliers. The reaction was far more negative than positive afterward online.

ESPN’s Arash Markazi, in his pulled piece on hanging with LeBron for a night that the network pulled, said that LeBron seemed more like a child wrapped in a man’s body. The more we hear from him, the more that sounds like the truth. LeBron is not malicious or mean spirited, just immature. Not someone who takes into consideration the reaction to what he does or says, but rather just does it.

That twitter announcement just seems to be the latest step along those lines.

Oops. Now I’ve probably been taken note of, too.

i hope that lebron gives you ample reasons to hate him over the next 4-5 championship rings he brings home to miami

Goofy Miami fans… Win 1 game first before you declare multiple championships.

LeBrick is one funny dude if he pays attention to what people are saying he should of listen when the fans in Miami was saying that D-Wade was a better player than him, LeBrick has made it very clear the fans we’re right, how are you suppost to be a King when you play in D-Wade castle I always rooted for LeBronze to win a Ring and I don’t like the Cavs but because he showed that he does not have that killer instinct I’m OK with that but don’t consider yourself the Chosen One LeBronze is a joke with all of the talent in the world but his mentality is that of a child GO LAKERS 3PEAT!!!!!

Apparently last year Lebron learned his media attitude from Shaq. There is another player who held media grudges and actually was able to intimidate some members into not criticizing Shaq early on in his career for fear of not getting near a story later.
While Shaq was a lot more fun to be around, he certainly still has a large quotient of big, spoiled kid.

It’s pretty funny. If Kobe said something like this, people would would be talking about how he uses the negativity to become better and that’s what makes him the best in the game. LeBron says it and he’s immature. Quite the double standard. One guy raped a chick (allegedly) the other used his rights as a Free Agent to put himself in a better position to win a championship, and yet the rapist is the one that is held in the highest regard while the other is frowned upon.

  8. Craig W. - Aug 11, 2010 at 10:41 AM

Actually, if Kobe said it people like you would be on him like stink, saying “That selfish ballhog is just trying to get back at the nice media people”.

  9. Jsballa - Aug 11, 2010 at 10:45 AM

WWKD is right on the money… Fans would love if any other athlete said this.. especially michael jordan who’s entire hall of fame speech was about people that slighted him. Now Lebron says the same thing and hes some immature guy who’s “internet” tuff. All the people taking shots at him are people of other teams who are jealous that they didn’t get him. Give the guy a break, jeez… this Kurt guy sounds like a bitter Ex girlfiend who can’t stop talking about Lebron.

ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!! Basically what all your frikin haters have done is WAKE THE BEAST!!!!!! And that is what he is telling everyone……”you think I am a quitter, you think that I am selfish, you think I dont care…….WATCH OUT”………That is what he is saying……not only have all you haters and low life Cleveland fans “WOKE THE BEAST”…..you have now pissed off D-Wade and you know what happens when he is pissed……and not to mention Bosh – the way the Raptors organization treated him…..As Reggie Miller said……….”you are going to have to bring it ALL to Miami to play the THREE HEADED MONSTER!!!!!!!!!! The first slam dunk over Varajeo’s mop will shut all of you up!!!!!!! AND I AM NOT EVEN A LEBRON FAN!!!!!!

  11. WOOT - Aug 11, 2010 at 11:22 AM

All the lebron Haters fit into 2 areas
1: you were a Cav fan and now your team Sucks and has no chance of winning…He was a FA and put him self on a better team get over it
2: You are a fan of another team besides the Miami,Lakers, celtics, or Magic. Cause your team stands no chance of winning anymore…
I am not a Miami fan, I have been a Jazz fan my whole life. the only reason i am Mad at lebron is cause he new Team is AMAZING!!!!

  12. Bill-Sonora - Aug 11, 2010 at 11:24 AM

But Kobe DIDNT say anything like this. He’s a CHAMPION and he’s laughing at Lebron’s stupid antics and at idiots like you.

  13. Cavs fan - Aug 11, 2010 at 11:26 AM

    What a choad.

  14. Ponsonby Britt - Aug 11, 2010 at 11:36 AM

The only worthwhile solution for this kind of pettiness is for people to just pour it on. May his efforts to ‘smite his enemies’ land him in the realms of disappointed expectations.

People get so emotional….especially Cleveland fans. I always say put the emotions aside and look at the facts.
#1 Lebron failed to win a cahmpionship in Cleveland.
#2 Dwayne Wade did win a championschip in Miami.
#3 When Cleveland got hammered at home by the Celtics Lebron was notably displaced and uninvolved in team hudles. There was offensive sets where he just stood in the corner and Ray Allen didnt even have to move to guard him.
#4 Dwayne Wade was a beast in the finals. He played with the heart of a champion.
#5 No other free agents put the country through anything as self serving as “The decision”….ever in the history of sports.
#6 Lebron said his goal was to win a championship in Cleveland. He failed in reaching that goal.
#7 Lebron was on a team with the best record in the NBA for 2 seasons. If the excuse that he was not surrounded by enough talent is indeed valid then why is it Cleveland was such a dominant team? They beat a clearly better squad in Detroit when they went to the finals but Lebron was awful against San Antonio.
#8 It is an undeniable fact that Lebron chose the easy way. If he does win a ring in Miami there isnt one single person who can argue that it was not the easiest way for him to get one. He had the option to play in Cleveland and bring that city what it so badly needs in any kind of championship.
I am not saying Dwade is better. I also am not hating on Lebron. He did what he wanted and you cant fault any man for that. What I am saying is I Believe he has been exposed as a lesser than Jordan , Magic , or Bird type of player when it comes to being a champion.

  16. ocgunslinger - Aug 11, 2010 at 11:39 AM

ENOUGH already. Let’s all check back in April 2011 and see if Wade’s team has learned how to play as a team.

  17. BallBuster - Aug 11, 2010 at 11:40 AM

    Check this out LBJ…
All I say is you are now D-Wade’s b*tch! Should’ve built your own team and now you will always be an also ran in the greatest ever discussions even if you do wins multiple titles. You ran to D Wade’s team and D Wade will always have more titles. If you pass Jordan, Kobe (never Russell), then the talk will be if D Wade is the greatest ever, not you LeTonto to the your kimosabe!! I understand why you left but forfeited your reputation as the King… long live Queen James!!!!

  18. Bertski - Aug 11, 2010 at 11:41 AM

    right

  19. usesmx06 - Aug 11, 2010 at 11:42 AM

@WWWKD.. Your obviously a child or something. There are a lot of people out there that are still kobe haters and continue to bash kobe for who he might have been early in his career. I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I continue to live here and believe it or not, there are a lot of people that no longer support the Lakers because of what kobe use to be. Don’t talk about double standards. Kobe went through his share of issues with the media and public. He’s just grown up since than. Now as far as Lebron. Definitely dissapointed he decided to join D-Wade’s kingdom. I wanted him to win a championship in Cleveland and believed he could have. ( I’m a Laker Fan by the way ). Going to Miami and formaing this super team is like a game of NBA 2K or somethin. Unreal. It’ll be great to watch but in my opinion and thousands of other’s out there, Lebron is no longer the chosen one. Except for Miami fan’s of course. lol.

  20. Silent Few - Aug 11, 2010 at 11:43 AM

WWKD, I don’t usually response to what fools like you write about Kobe, but I am compelled to say something this time. Do yourself a favor and stop calling Kobe a rapist, because he did ripe any relative of yours or the white trash from Colorado who (allagedly) were fu——ked by someone else several hours before meeting Kobe that evening. You are so hateful that you failed to accept a tangiable fact that Kobe never ripe anyone. Maybe you are the one who riped someone someplace else without the authorities knowing about it. Finally, Kobe does not have anything to do with your so-called King James. The only thing Kobe is doing right now is finding a space on one of the shelves in his home to place his sixth ring there.

  21. Cleveland is Pansy-land - Aug 11, 2010 at 11:45 AM

Wow, I am not from Ohio nor do I live in Florida or care much about LeBron’s decision to change.
What’s the big deal that he left, let him and move on. Cleveland looks like a bunch of pansy babies.
Move on, he doesn’t owe Cleveland anything nor does Cleveland owe him…the Cleveland peeps should be appreciative that he did come and stay with you guys for the time he was there.

  22. willyjsimmons - Aug 11, 2010 at 11:47 AM

    LeBron is taking notes because…
people have move from bashing him, to talking about his kids and their mother.
You, wouldn’t take too kindly to that either. Mr. Helin.

  23. lillaz - Aug 11, 2010 at 11:53 AM

LEBRON DONT LISTEN TO THESE PEOPLE TRYING TO BRING U DOWN DO U AND BRING IT HOME FOR THE GO HEAT DALE

  24. LeBronathon - Aug 11, 2010 at 11:59 AM

To all you Clevelanders…Get over it. No doubt Lebron will single handedly smack the Cavs like little girls when they meet. Better off tanking the season and hoping for the next LBJ.

  25. WWKD - Aug 11, 2010 at 12:01 PM

Wow, it’s funny how the little girls on here call LeBron internet tough, then run to defend Kobe’s honor by lofting personal attacks at someone expressing an opinion. Get a life losers. Too bad you couldn’t be in a certain Colorado hotel taking it from Kobes, but then I’m sure that’s what most of you Laker fans would call “Heaven”.
By the way, it’s good to know that as long as someone had sex with “someone else several hours before”, then consent is implied and it can no longer be called rape. I’m willing to bet there are thousands of less-wealthy men wrongly convicted of rape under similar circumstances.
Oh and FYI, I can’t stand LeBron either, but I just can’t stand the double standard.
