Don't forget, Karl Malone and John Stockton were good. Very good.

Friday night Karl Malone gets inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Twice, actually. Once as a member of the 1992 Dream Team.

But the other was for the role he was better known for, as one half of the best inside/outside, pick-and-roll duos ever. Malone and John Stockton were amazing together. The video is just a reminder.

I understand that this is the slow news season for the NBA, but what’s with randomly posting videos?

odd how in other sports, hustle and giving it your all are considered the ultimate in performance. in the nba, though, if you guard someone close, tight, and hard, it’s considered by many as dirty play. i guess most fans, and more than a few players think that they should have unlimited access to the hoop, so they can look “pretty,” or cool. too many nba players are about image, and i guess fans prefer 146-137 more than 88-81. spoiled narcissists don’t do it for a lot of us, which is why, once one’s home team is eliminated, interest drops off, despite the league’s blatant and unabashed efforts to hype its finals by player worship instead of the inherent beauty of the game.
