As I remember the Lakers got 15 fta in the 4th quarter and the celtics got 17 the whole game as i recall it 37 to 17 do the math the refs wanted L A to win..period

Lakers will will at least two more before Kobe retires. Celtics will probably make the playoffs but will not win the championship with the team that they have now. Miami will probably win a couple of championships when Kobe retires.

Boston would of taken the title had it not been for Perkins injury, with the Celtics roster, one injury screws up the entire lineup and puts some players in positions to playing minutes that they are not normally to. Boston would of easily beat the Lakers had Perkins not get injured, and all you Laker fans only like the Lakers cause of Kobe, granted he is the best in the league but in a few years when he decides to retire, lets see how much you like the Lakers then.

The reason why the Celdicks lost to the Lakers in game 7 was because the Celdicks choked. I was at the game. The Celdicks were ahead but choked. What a bunch of actresses. Now their fans are whining about their center.. How about the Lakers center being injured when the Celdicks won? Whiners. The Celdicks aren’t tough.. All talk.. Look what the Lakers did to Rasheed, they forced him to retire.

Are people are still crying about game seven? Let’s see, the team that won the rebounding battle won each game. Kevin Garnett, at 6’11″, pulled down THREE rebounds in game seven. Meanwhile Kobe Bryant, at 6’6″, pulled down FIFTEEN rebounds. The Lakers won because they outplayed Boston down the stretch. Also, had the C’s showed up for game six there would never have been a game seven. Now people are acting like Perkins was Boston’s MVP. Rasheed actually gave Boston MORE in those last two games. Boston lost. Accept it and move on.

Jaided, dude, learn how to type. I want to argue with you but it would be as useful as debating with a three year old. Plus a couple of years ago…let me think, oh yeah that series wasn’t even close, like…at all. And yeah I think Stern wanted LA to win in 2008 too, the Celtics were just to good though. In 2010, different story, the teams are a lot more even than you’re giving them credit for. So yeah, the refs had more sway because of two evenly matched teams. Except one was babied by the refs. It’s tainted, get over it.

The Celtics lost in the Finals because Stern’s Ref’s deemed it so.
Don’t believe it? Check the stats- of ALL the games last year (season and postseason)it was the last quarter of the last game that set the record for 24 ( Yes, TWENTY-FOUR )free-throws. Most of them should have been called AGAINST the Lakers not for them.

Don’t make me laugh. The better team DID NOT win last year’s Game 7. The Lakers got all the calls in the 2nd half, as evident by the huge edge they got in the free throws. Boston got robbed, simple as that.

Rasheed Wallace, Perkins’ replacement for Game 7, scored twice as many points in that game as Perkins was averaging for the entire playoffs. He yanked down about the same number of rebounds Kendrick was averaging too. So what exactly did Boston miss out on by having Rasheed instead of Perkins playing center? NOTHING!!
Also, conveniently forgotten by Celtics fans lamenting what they thought was a game they should’ve won, is the fact that Andrew Bynum was seriously injured the whole series. If he was even halfway healthy, Boston probably would’ve been swept.

Of course it caught up with them last season, in the 2nd half of game 7. They were up big and got worn out, and their bench provided next to nothing. That’s why they signed all of these role players this year because they know that age was a huge factor in the championship series.
