That somebody is Eddie House.
House signed a two-year, $2.8 million deal with the Heat, with the second year being a player option, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo. This is for the veteran minimum for the 32-year-old.
Pat Riley is a witch. Or warlock, I guess. Either way, he clearly has control over the forces of nature and the human mind. How else does he pull all this together?
This is a great signing for Miami, really filling a need of a floor-spacing guard off the bench. House also is a guy who has won a title, who has been through the wars, something else Miami could use in the locker room. He will make the roster as the fifth guard. Sorry Kenny Hasbrouck, you just became camp fodder.
The Bulls had been thought to be the frontrunners for House, and the Celtics were trying to bring him back as well, all for the same price. But with the money being equal, House decided to take his talents to South Beach. Where he likely will get a lot of looks and plenty of burn.
House can shoot. Very well. He hit 38 percent of his threes last year, 44 percent the year before. He has one of the quickest releases in the game as well, getting his shot off before the help can rotate out.
House is not a very good defender, he is not fast, really all he does is shoot. But that's all Miami wants him to do.
One other interesting note at the end of Wojnarowski's piece -- the Heat are still toying with the idea of signing Tracy McGrady. Why? Good question. He can still knock down shots, but is not moving very fluidly according to reports out of his Bulls workout last week. What's more, he brings a pretty big personality into a locker room that already has a lot of big personalities and egos. Not sure why you take that risk, but they are thinking about it.

This guy brings the dagger with him... Good Luck L.A.!!!
Not much more Miami could do. They are stacked across the board. If you're really picking at straws, they are mildly exposed up front. This team should win 70+ games and secure home court throughout the playoffs.
70+ games??? That's crazy talk. Nobody is scared of Eddie House, there is a reason why he plays on a new team every year.
yes really, Lebron won 70+ games with nobody helping him...... definitely not a stretch to think they could win 70 in Miami with Dwade and Bosh. and btw nobody needs to be scared of eddie house he is there to spread the floor and shoot threes, thats it!
Has Iverson signed yet?
Yes...because so many teams want him. Not what you had in mind, I'm sure. But as you notice, three teams were interested: Chicago, Boston, and Miami. This isn't exactly the Clippers, T-Wolves, and Warriors trying to sign him, you know.
The NBA is such a joke.
On my laptop, it looks like it says, in South Beach, House "will get a lot of looks and plenty of BUM."
Makes sense. Jack Donaghy says is true:
http://blogs.miaminewtimes.com/riptide/2008/12/jack_donaghy_regrettably_wont.php
So, the ghost of George Steinbrenner is already at work in Miami... but Lakers are already preparing for lock down defense-- as is Boston... let's see if Miami can live with Eddie being their top scorer...
they are still short on defense and rebounding...
it will become a shoot out every night... shoot out dont win you a title... just a lot of regular season games...
Yo mas(puto)or whoever you are take note House is only a 3pt shooter no D and is slow as hell and if you rattle him he couldn't hit the floor with the sole of his shoe! So a throw Kobe on him and then bounce Atest off him then have Fish finish him off and hell House is done for the month..GOOD LUCK HEAT!!!!!
REALLY.....????????
You think Miami is going to have EH as their top scorer!
Switch to the NFL Page dude!
Lebron and wade are two of the best rebounders in the league from their positions. Haslem per minute rate is a really good rebounder off the bench. Ilgauskas is a good offensive rebounder with his 7'3'' height and Bosh is a really good rebounder. Boston was not known for their defense until they bought in with doc rivers. Miami has the offensive talent and scoring (efficient scoring, high FG% with wade and lebron at their positions). Rondo and Perkins were supposed to be liabilities with boston's big three. I'm sure miller's shooting, joel anthony's shot blocking, house's shooting, James jones shooting, carlos arroyos court savvy and excellent assist/turnover ration, haslem's experience/mid range/rebounding/toughness will all be great assets. the lakers got better defensively, but their offense and outside shooting took a hit. If the heat become a defensive team (with lebron and wade defending on the wings), they have potential.
the finals proved that defense and rebounding win championships. cant believe how stupid this headline is. the lakers have done nothing but get better this off season. they are all ready back to back champs. the heat will be very good and they have a team that no one thought possible, but at the end of the day, the lakers are just better. better team. better coach. better bench. more length. better coach. more titles! you can not argue with winning.
LOL. so if kobe, artest, and fisher are lockdown on house who is going to guard wade and lkebron? lol
LeBron never won 70+ games, what the hell are you talking about?
LEAVE WHINNING TRACY MCGRADY WHERE HE IS!!
i hope next years lockout last 10 years im through with this circus let these egocentric thugs get a real job then their possee
can cheer them on when they flip a burger and supersize a coke
Hi Haters. I dont even know why Lakers fans are even allowed to speak. DCLakerfan makes me laugh, while you think Phil Jackson is gonna bounce Kobe,Test, and Fish to guard House... who the F..k is gonna be guarding Heat316? your a numbskull.
Matt Barnes will defend Wade, Artest on Lebron tha leaves Kobe on the FAST House..... LA will be fine... Oh and we also have 3 seven footers (including Theo Ratliffe)to one for Miami. If Bynum stays healthy watch out for a 3-Peat....
All I can say is "Too many cooks spoil the food".
Hi Pat
Hey I can shoot and would gladly sign for the vet min. Hello...hello
Most of you obviously are not Heat fans. Miami is and will still be a defensive team!!! Look at their roster from last year and you will see they finished second in PPG allowed and in opponents FG %. If you allow the second fewest PPG in the league and hold your opponents to 44% from the field you have a defensive team. They've only added more talent why would they perform at a lower level on the defensive end now?
lebron > artest - killed the lakers/ artest this past year
wade
chalmers
bosh
big z/ anthony/ haslem
miller > whoever - he will be awesome because of wade and lebrons penetration.
heat bench
Erik Spoelstra
Lakers will repeat and repeat again. Heat will be good and they will get theirs. It just might be a few years.
LMAO, the Laker Fans aren't allowed to speak?? Only the BANDWAGON HEAT fans can talk??? LMAO!! They haven't even done anything yet but you wanna crown em champs w/ 70+ wins? Just because Lebron and the Cavs that were built around the guy won 60+ games the last 2 years but flopped in the playoffs??? This same Cavs team that everyone was in love w/ the last 2 years but are now saying was a weak cast and that's why Lewhiner left? I can't wait to see how this year turns out... Gonna laugh my ass off if the Heat can't do anything and the Bandwagon fans have to find a new team...LOL
Yeah, sign McGrady, then you can lose any shot at a title!
The play in the east. Golden state would put up decent defensive numbers in the east...
Yes, everyone is wary and uncertain of the Heat because of the pure talent on the roster. No, no one knows how it is going to play out. Yes, the Lakers are the defending champions, and no one has unseated them yet.
Sometimes I really, really hate the offseason, because I have to listen to all this crap. Bah.
wow, just wow. So your going to start Barnes and Artest? Does that mean Kobe will be your pg? Wow there is no offense in that line up. Enjoy getting dominated, with Artest and Barnes as your scoring wings, and Kobe as your point.
But then again your a lakers fan, so little things like starting two small forwards who are offensive liabilities doesn't mean anything to you, since you probably show up at half time, check your iphone, spot the celebs, watch the final 4 minutes.
this did not show up how it was supposed to. point was, the lakers are better in each match up except for lebron vs artest and mike miller vs whoever.
Barnes, Kobe, and Artest on the floor at the same time? Where is the pg and where is the shooting. Barnes and Artest will rarely if ever be on the court at the same time with Kobe. Say what you want about Kobe vs wade and individual matchups. The nba is a game of 5 players, Kobe and wade are not going to play one on one. But I'll take my chances with Wade blowing by Kobe every time as much as I'd trust Kobe burying a tough shot against wade. It's a wash in the end cuz ill take younger wade (the 2nd most clutch player in the league shooting at 48% over Kobe, the most clutch player shooting at 45.5% over the course of 45 minutes). This isn't slow old pierce or ray allen. This is Lebron and wade, the 2 of the 3 best wing players and finishers in the game. wont be easy for artest or kobe or fisher. I'm not downplaying the defensive capabilities of barnes or artest. i'm just saying its no lockdown when u have to worry about two elite wings rather than 1
wow is the biggest laker hater. check this out kobe gasol artest fisher odom barnes blake and all others better then last yr and the lakers scored last yr as u can tell they got the hardware to prove it. scoring wings this guy what is this hockey come on now. wow u dont know sports ur just a hater. scoring wings. thats comedy
All u haters like daniel are thinking barnes is gonna start hes coming off the bench haters. lakers are so deep this yr i cant help but say 3peat again in la. no more post for u haters are to dumb and analyze lil things. lakers inside game will win it again. gasol odom bymun ratliff 7 footers to heats bosh. come on now. worry about whos gonna stick the lakers. haters
we both we replying to your lakers2010 fan who said that barnes would guard wade, and artest would guard lebron. But then again asking a lakers fan a bball question is like asking snooki about her Italian heritage.
And let me be honest if Theo Ratliff gets major minutes the Lakers are in trouble because Bynum, not Bymun, got hurt. Also Odom is not 7 foot sorry. But hey don't let those pesky facts get in the way.
I hope to God for your sakes and every Laker fan's sake hope you don't think Mo Williams is even close to Wade's level or Jamison to Bosh's level.
Its true that there happens to be a few egos in the NBA, but playing pro basketball isn't every young athletic African American males only option. Your comment is pretty offensive. Most of the thugs, "as bob would call them" happen to be very active charity working guys. Basketball is a sport of guts. Most people that play it is aware that you have to have heart, so dont allow the on court personality be the judge of character. Besides how do you know flipping burgers is their next and only option, Jalen Rose was viewed as a thug like player and wow after NBA life he became a ESPN analyst, what a Burger King.
In what universe did Lebron win "70+" games? Not in this one. Cleveland has never had a 70-win season, even with Lebron.
And you my friend...are the biggest idiot to not know the terms Wing player is a common basketball term among the intelligent and informed bball fan. Why do you think people say MJ and scottie were the best wing/guard combos or wing defenders in nba history. educate yourself. I may be a hater. but at least I am not ignorant
answer me this wow, who on the heat matches up with the lakers? who will guard kobe? gasol? bynum? the lakers have people who can match up well with the heat. lebron owns artest (as he does everyone else for the most part) but the lakers (because of their depth) have people who can help kobe on wade (barnes, fish, sasha... jk about sasha). As for bosh and gasol, there is no question gasol is better than bosh. not even close. so, what i am asking you is how will the heat stop lakers? (if it comes down to them in the finals because the regular season doesnt mean a thing)
Ok all of you except for maybe a handful know anything about Basketball/NBA and how it works. LeBron is my fav followed by Kobe then Wade, with all judgement aside how can you dispute Either teams talent? Uhh you can't only the haters can. Kobe showed his age in the playoffs this past season and everybody knows it, if it wasn't for gasol and artest last second shots it would not have been La in the finals. Bynum will never stay healthy, Gasol is at his peak and will never get better then he was last year. Fish is the man who keeps it all together but is just going to be slower and play less minutes. Artest is getting much slower as well and has no chance in gaurding wade or lebron. They added barnes but he will see maybe 15 mins a game. Brown is gone, farmar is no backup. I mean they are the champs and I love them but this would be there last year at any shot of a championship. Gasol and Z are a good matchup because of Z's outside shooting he takes gasol out of the lane, but gasol is quicker then him on the inside. Bosh has nobody to gaurd him except rotations. LeBron can only be garded by Kobe but that won't happen to much wear tair. So what that leaves Barnes or Artest who proved he can't gaurd him. Wade has to be gaurded by Kobe because Fish is way to old and slow. So that leaves Fish on Aroyyo and Artest on Miller. I don't see how they can match up honestly yes the heat need a few months to get it together, but them winning 70 no i would say between 58 and 66 is realistic. Now you have House, Haslem, chalmers, jones. LeBron and Wade are 2 of the best defenders in the leage Big Z is good in his own right. Bosh is very smart and wont use as much energy as he normaly would with his surroundings. The heat will be to fast and to big at almost every position for anybody to handle. The reason La might have a chance is because of the chemistry together,Phil,Kobe, and Heart they never give up. Given that it's still hard to beat 3 young talents in the prime of their career, now there getting all these vets to sign because they know it's something special. Championship chances: La= 55% Mi=45% only because there defending champs.
Everyone jump on the "Three Peat" Train....There's still plenty of room
Im not a Lakers Fan, but dont put starting a 6'8" forward at point past Mr. Jackson, besides the triangle offense doesn't require a true point guard thats why Ron Harper was able to run the point in L.A. and Chicago under Phil

The Lakers wouldnt know what lock defense was if bit them on there rump. The Celtics do play some lock down defense.
Im sorry but talent just doesn't always guarante a win. Look at the Lakers team that lost to the Pistons, or the Portland team that had Rasheed Pippen, Wells, or The Kings team with Webber, I mean you can put a host of talented players on the court together and have a All-Star game but you need chemistry coaching and a willing defense to be a champion.
I'll help wow out here. Ray Allen defended Kobe well in a team concept. The heat don't need individual defenders (of course they help). Team defense is key against the triangle offense. But outside of Bynum and Gasol, the rest of the lakers are inefficient scorers, they shoot low percentages from the field, including Kobe himself. The heat already have more length defensively than the celtics ever had. That helps. You can't just look at the matchups as 1 on 1. It's a game of 5, with help defense. I'm not saying by this post the heat beat all the lakers matchups. Laker fans make it sound so one sided. what Im saying is that its not just about the heat being able to matching up with the lakers. Its the lakers matching up with the heat. Can the heat matchup with the laker size (maybe). Can Kobe's knees and artest's speed keep up with 2 elite fast explosive finishers in the league? who happen to be in their prime. Remember Lebron and wade are better than anyone in the league getting to the line (foul trouble on artest, odom, bynum, and yes even gasol). how will the lakers fare if theo ratliff has to come innto the game? I'll take haslem over ratliff. it works both ways
did you really just say big z is a good match up against gasol? haha. alos, you realize kobe had a club on his finger and a hurt knee last year right? to say his "age showed" is bs. gasol will match up with bosh as long as bynum is healthy (big if). gasol is much better than bosh. no deying that.
as for the "they wouldnt have made it without last second shots". get over it. they did and they won. that is the dumbest argument out there because it does not matter how you win, just how win. i agree the heat create a lot of match up problems, but they truely only do with one player. LBJ. no one shuts him down. let him get his. it worked well for him in cleveland... i know his supporting cast in cleveland was garbage and the talent on the heat is overwhelming, but top to bottom, the lakers have the most talent, depth, and experience. you can not argue with wins.
Good Lord, with Bosh, Wade and LeBron, what makes you think they are counting on House to be there top scorer?
fully agree with the team defense analysis. thats why boston remains competitive every year and also a big part of why the lakers have been successful. my point is that the lakers have players to help slow down the heat. if anyone can slow down lebron and wade, they have a shot. those 2 a great, but they cant put up 35+ every night. my biggest argument against the heat is their depth and their interior. thanks for not replying like an idiot and actually posting an intelligent response.
Pat is not a werlock he is a pimp!!! He is the godfather, please refer to him from hence forth as Pat Coreleone.
Typical that Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni had no use for Eddie House. The Knicks will be in the dog house again this season until D'Antoni is fired.
Only the uneducated, biased fan analyzes individual matchups across the board in order to determine a winner. Even though the NBA has a lot to do with great individual players, it's still a team game. Boston was a few bounces away from winning it all this year. If Ray Allen makes even a couple shots in Game 3, Celtics win and maybe close the series out in 5. Then, what would this discussion be?
The bottom line is Miami is 10-11 players deep with very few weaknesses except for questions of chemistry, which are yet to be determined. On paper, this team should win at least 70 games. The Celtics in '08 won 66 games in which they let their foot off the gas in a few of them. This Miami team is better. I'm not a Heat fan, I'm just stating the obvious.
Jobin,
I agree the Lakers have the depth on the interior, I was just responding to the idea that the addition of Barnes means the Lakers will be able to lock down the heat. It seems some of your fans (Lakers2010, Jaided) believe that playing them both at the same time would shut down the Heat. When you and I both know that Barnes and Artest will rarely be on the court at the same time.
Sorry for the insults at the Lakers fans expense, but some of your Lakers fans make you look bad, (Jaided not know what a wing is) as I'm sure any successful team has homers who can't see past there own team. It similar to Celtics fans who say that the Celtics right now have a deep bench, which is a joke as of now since Marquis Daniels is the eight player in there rotation.
So Lebron announced "I'm taking my talents to Souf Beach."
He also took his knucklehead posse of childhood friends with him.
Lebron's working on his game -- at Tao's in Las Vegas. LeNarcissist is good at celebrating himself. Celebrating championships? Notsomuch.
Whoa, there Drew! Why stop at "70+"? Why not say 82? Why don't we see how the first month goes and go from there, shall we. Geez.
I think the Heat will win, just not next year. It took the Celtics a year to figure out how to play together. I think it will take the Heat a year. Then I think they roll. I think bigs win championships. And Garnett and Howard are better than anyone the Heat have. I frankly don't see them coming out of the East. I think the Magic come out. Now that Howard knows what it necessary for him to reach elite level (the Celtics treated him like a little kid until he woke up and start knocking people out) I think he will exert himself. Next year Lakers 3-peat over the Magic. Then the Heat win it all.
Guess they should just cancel the season and declare the Heat the champs, right Drew? Ever hear of injuries? Infighting between the players? Having an off year? And the comment about matchups? Puhleeze! I bet you get several calls a day from NBA teams asking about your availability to fill their GM spot, right?
Everyone is wasting time and energy talking about matchups. I'm not a laker fan, nor a heat fan. But i do know basketball, and the basketball players. I find it interesting that not one person has commented on the mental weakness of Miami's players. Wade is the only sound one. Lebron chokes under pressure, and Bosh simply quits. Just see game 5 of the Clev v. Celtics, and you will see a mentally-defeated Lebron. As for Bosh, he was too scared to play when Toronto's season was on the line - the Raptors were neck-in-neck with the Bulls for the playoff race, and what does Bosh do? He doesn't play, even though he was cleared by the doctors. In contrast to Heat players, ALL of the laker players are battle tested and possess the requisite mental toughness. That's the REAL difference between the two teams.
yawwwwnn....wow everyone really has nuttin better to do then to argue about how much better the lakers are, or how the heat are better, I am personally a Heat fan, but I think we should just watch the season playout. Doesn't that sound a little less childish then the my team is better then your speech, oh and for those who are so upset they've became non nba fans, dude get over it, it's business, you guys make it sound so personal, it's a free agency people can sign whereever, you sound even more whinier then the stars whos complaning about this invisible rule of honor, maybe you still believe in santa claus and easter bunnies too. Get over your childhood honor crap, it's business
Artest had phsyce issues prior to LA. Kobe has been known to get hotheaded and shot happy, gasol was soft (mentally and physically), vujacic was well...vujacic, farmar was soft and mentally fragile and lost at times. But all of that changed. So why can't the heat change? so did boston. garnett was known to be mentally fragile, pierce wasn't a proven champion, and ray allen was a big question mark. yes lebron and bosh may have tanked, but the same kobe everyone praises for his mental toughness and heart unquesitonably tanked game 7 against the suns. he refused to shot against a horrible suns defense because he was unhappy about comments that he was a ballhog. every star has his flaws. sure it might take a year for the heat, but you can't compare years or teams. Let's just wait and see
alets - if you found out your teammate was banging your mom right before a game do you think your head would be in it??? I find it interesting the Cavs dump West and Lebron ditched Cleveland. Either way YOU FOOLS DON'T KNOW ANYTHING. Vegas makes $ for a reason and picking the heat just means they have the best chance. Am I the only one that thinks Wade, Bosh, Lebron is way better than Wade, Shaq, & the gang???
P.S. Matt Barnes sucks. That guy couldnt hit a three if his life depended on it.
All of you people are a bunch of idiots... Let's just play the season and see what happens.. We can speculate all day bout match ups and who has better team chemistry but what happens if in the middle of the season either LeBron or Kobe blow out a knee...All this talk goes right out the window.........
I agree Clos. Everyones' comments (except mine) are a waste of time. All the talk about match-ups is a side show, full of speculation and suppositions. The real issue, as i pointed out, is the lack of mental strength of LBJ and CB.
Barnes to guard Wade.? Really? Does anybody remember Wade droppin 50 on the magic this year.?Barnes is not a stopper and Kobe cant run around and guard Wade and still perform well on O. Defense should be fine. I mean its not like q rich and mike beas were stoppers and the heat were still top 5 in the league. But the lakers front line is still too much. The Heat are expecting too much from Pittman
u took the words right out of my mouth they are just buying everyone , i have to say im gettting annoyed by how they r just buy up people left and right they r the yankees and this is what is gonna make ppl stop watching basketball just like baseball becuz they r gonna be the team everyone is gonna wanna go to
Lebron never won 70.....60 plus yes but not 70, lets not get carried away.
If you read what I wrote, you would see that I said "on paper" they should win 70+ games. They're solid - or at the very least respectable - at every position and well coached. I think much like the Celtics veterans didn't put up with any crap on their teams, the Heat will do the same. Just because I said they SHOULD win 70+ games doesn't mean they will. You still have to play the game. Even if they win that many games, it's no guarantee of playoff supremacy. But, do I think it's LIKELY they steamroll the competition? Yes.
Your point about injuries is silly. Well, what if Lebron, Wade, and Bosh all go down to injuries? Sure, anything can happen. Does that make my argument illegitimate? No, it's an extenuating circumstance. With their depth and talent pool, they can absorb injuries and still win.
The point about matchups is ridiculous. Sure, there are some important ones that count, but did the Lakers expect Big Baby to be a factor at all in the finals? Was J.J. Redick supposed to outplay Vince Carter in the playoffs? Wasn't Vince Carter supposed to be a matchup problem for teams doubling Dwight Howard and be the breakdown player at the end of games? What if a great player is in a shooting slump? Does the individual matchups theory still hold up? TEAM matchups are what matters.
Give me your reasons - barring a multitude of major injuries and potential chemistry issues which I already pointed out - why Miami shouldn't win 70+ games this year.
Lebron has not won 70+ games. Also I think the significance of the Heat signing House is overstated. He is not a starter, is a role player. He played limited minutes in Boston, and despite shooting a respectable percentage was far from indespensable. He played limited minutes because he is undersized, has porous defense and shows very little offensive versatility. Will he make some shots?... Sure. He wont play enough minutes to make a real impact throuhout the season. He will affect theoutcome of the odd game, but the heat needs a a point guard who can play long minuutes and not be a liability.
cannot wait for the season to start........................72-10!
What have you been smokin? Yes, put your top 3 Laker defenders on Eddie house and ignore Wade and Lebron....you must be the next Phil Jackson.
Yeah Brian -
That's why the Lakers beat the Celtics and beat them at their own game in the Finals. Because they can't rebound and play defense. Boston players had foam coming out of their mouths and could do nothing but reach and grab and commit stupid fouls the last 20 minutes of game 7 - but I guess you weren't watching.
They have to beat the best to be the best!! All roads go through LA and I'll take talent and experience over a team that hasn't won a game yet-just a bunch of hype!!! We'll see you on Christmas day Miami-Bring santa with u!!!
It's funny just how bitter Lakers fans are even after winning. The Celtics weren't "beaten at their own game." They were oversized for the entire series. The team that won the rebounding battle won every game. Game 7 was no exception. The Celtics were definitely fatigued, which contributed to committing several cheap fouls that ultimately cost them the game. Some of (but not all) the calls were bad, i.e. the Pau Gasol travel which counted as a basket. Would Kendrick Perkins battling some of those bigs made a big difference? I think you could say that. Would it have made a difference in the outcome? Maybe.
But Lakers fans make it sound as if it was one-sided beatdown. The Celtics were in control of the entire game until the last 8 minutes. It was their game to lose and they lost it. Not to mention they squandered a Game 3 at home they really should've won. That's how the ball bounces. But, don't try to pretend it was a lopsided series.
I SALUTE EDDIE
hahaha Matt Barnes on Dwade I almost fell out my chair is that supposed to be funny.
To think that Barnes/Kobe and Artest are gonna stop the likes of Wade and LeBron is very laughable. See you in June.
To think that Barnes/Kobe and Artest are gonna stop the likes of Wade and LeBron is very laughable. See you in June.
whoever thinks Bynum is a match-up problem for the Heeat is sorely mistaken. Bynum has not proven anything out his career besides he can get injured every yr. now on to Gasol and Bosh which is probably the best matchup with 2 closely matched players. as for the Kobe and Wade matchup i have to go with Wade, Kobe is getting old and settles for his jump shot way too much and as u seen in the playoofs last yr that he is shooting very poorly. 10-29 on fg just dont get it done. Wade can guard Kobe but Kobe cant guard Wade. and as for LBJ and Artest i wont even say anything cus theres no need to. sorry Artest, too old and too slow and cant shoot. And LAker fans, i live in LA 5 minutes from the STaples Center and so i must keep it real with yall and say Lakers wouldnt have won the Finals if Perkins wouldnt have gotten hurt. Celtics were up 3-2 and i just cant see them losing 2 games in a row if they had Perkins!
