There is one area where David Kahn is very different than Isaiah Thomas. Kahn has reduced the T-wolves payroll to NBA-low territory while Thomas insisted on spending more than everbody else. If you're going to lose, might as well do it with a low payroll. The low payroll could be to Kahn's benefit later in the sense that he could get lucky and acquire a very good player via some other team's salary dump. Isaiah, meanwhile, worked his team into a situation with no flexibility because his roster was filled with toxic assets.

Why is this on NBC Sports?
This is nothing more than slander.
Isiah Thomas was far from perfect but this continuous vilification of the man is entirely unjustified.
Its one thing to report news, its another to turn it into a witch-hunt. This doesn't even pretend to be an opinion piece, its just a mugging.
