Did the house come with a ring??? Maybe for a couple of more million, Riley would have thrown it in. All the luxuries in the world will not fill the void of failure LeBron is feeling. Keep trying though LBJ! It is quite entertaining and it keeps you the most popular player despite a championship.

I wonder if millionaires ever thought about living a normal life. Got to be kind of tough with all the dough and be isolated in a corner all by yourself. You can’t even interact with normal people. You can only take so many trips then that gets old. I suspect that’s not healthy for humans.

the real estate has already tanked in Florida for the average american…guys who work 9-5 or graveyard jobs have been priced out of Florida…but not the rich….all you have to do is look at the major buying that rich athlethes and entertainers are doing down there in south florida….most of them have money on top of money, so they are not hurting.

Tiger Woods, Micheal Jordan, Rush Limpbaugh, Ann Coulergeist, Lebron, D-Wade, Shaq, Chris Bosh, Puffy, J-Lo…all of them have multi million dollar properties down there

at least the Williams sister still share a house together in Palm Beach Gardens, and I dont think its even worth a million dollars, but it is gated however.

name what player won on there own? Jordan didnt do it till pippen came. the rockets teamed up all stars in the 90′s as well as the lakers in the 80′s and in the 2000′s. Also the pistons in 2004, and the celtics in 08. So wats the difference? Evrybody has done it before but know since these smart business men got together to win. I agree that he left because he couldnt win it by his self but did the front office bring solid players for him, i think not. So all those teams that i stated before (and i have missed many teams) front offices brought players around their stars to shine.

WOW! I cannot imagine what planet I would be on were I could allow myself to be so delusional as to think an ATHLETE owed me his loyalty!! WE ALL have a decision to support whoever and whichever team we choose. If this is all too much, dont support the NBA or any of its players, then you won’t feel cheated when things don’t go as you like!!!
As for Mike who thinks he spent half his contract on his house…slow down and think with me for a minute…
First, do any of us know if he paid the balance of the loan at closing?…If so, then maybe it is half his contract after taxes but did you not realize that when his career is over, he would have made HUNDREDS of millions in endorsement deals ALONE!!! Im sure he’s got enugh money right now to have completely paid the entire loan wihtout spending a dime of his new contract!!!!! Just think for a few seconds before you write…otherwise you may expose your ignorance.

Lou, I get sick of all that type of crap from front running Laker fans. 1) Kobe petulantly demanded a trade from LA 4 years ago after about 4 years of playing .500 ball with bad teamates (after he whined and got Shaq traded out of town so that he could be the main guy & score oodles of points). He even made a video dissing his own teamate Andrew Bynum. 2) If not for the outrageous gift of Pau Gasol from the Grizzlies for nothing, the Lakers would probably still be a .500 team. 3) Had the Cavaliers been the team that received the outrageous gift of Gasol for nothing, does anyone doubt that they would have been the team winning the last couple of championships??? No, Kobe is no saint, he is just as self serving and arrogant as LeBron or anyone else. All of this is why today’s NBA sucks & is not worth watching

Exactly what I’ve been wishing someone would say; a lot of people are just making excuses for their juvenile behavior, and they’d still act just as childish about it even if he *didn’t* say it on that show. The funny thing is how many male sports fans- many of which try to come off as hard asses much of the time- are acting like complete pansies right now, like they just got their hearts broken. I wanted him to stay, but now I think he made the right decision- I wouldn’t want to be in any crappy city that thought of me as their damn puppet.

The reason he choose to make his announcement on national tv was for the amount of money the sponsors would pay for a show like this one. LeBron James want to make some money for the Boys and Girls Club IN CLEVELAND, OH, again as he has done in the past. He raised, or the sponsors payout was over a half of million dollars.
Who else could have raised that amount of money in a short period of time than LeBron James and only on that night.
So if Cleveland can stop thinking about themselves for a moment and think about the amount of money he raised for a worthy cause, your fellow citizens might feel better, or maybe not!
I am not a Basketball fan, but this guy was a free agent, he could go where he wanted. If he had told the city of Cleveland, the big hour lead up would not have netted so much money for the Boys and Girls Club….Feel better now? Good! You thought of someone other than yourself……..
