Have you seen the Heat roster lately? They have a slew of big men and a capable bench. A starting five of Wade, Lebron, Miller, Bosh, and Ilgauskas. They have Haslem, Jones, Chalmers, and Maligore to come off the bench, and all those guys are quality role players. Everyone can hate on the Heat and try to discount what this team is going to do, but bottom line is they are going to dominate. It will take a little time for this team to gel, but not 2-3 years like someone else said. I’ll give them to the all-star break before they are firing on all cylinders (and even before they gel they will still be winning 70% of their games). No team will be able to shut them down. You can stop one, maybe two, but not all three.

Here is what really bothers me. Nobody said anything when former laker great jerry west basically gave Paul Gasol to the lakers when he was GM of Memphis and the same can be said for Kevin Mchale as Pres. of Minn. he gave the celtics Kevin Garnett. I wonder where thier loyalties were when they made these deals. I am saying that to say that so many shaddy things go on in the NBA without question and no one says a word. The heat deal was on the up and up. All of these young men could have made more money else where but they choose to play together. When the decision was made is irrelevant the fact is they are going to be the real deal so leave them alone and watch them do what they do. Will they have struggles yes but in the end trhey will prevail,. The shady deals have all ready been made and no one said a word. Kevin M

I’m not quite sure why these discussions are still going on. Miami has 3 superstar players who are still all in the 20′s. They should win a few championships at some point, maybe even this year. However, LeBron, from this point forward, is no longer part of the conversation of “the greatest basketball player ever.” That’s over. I’m a HUGE Laker fan. Never was a fan of Michael Jordan. But the other day when Michael Jordan said Kobe was better than LeBron, that ended the discussion. PERIOD. So whatever LeBron does from this point on, good, It still won’t mean much. He’s NOT the king.

I think you are mistaken. Actually, this has nothing to do with hate. The Heat should be a very good team. In fact, if they don’t end up winning 3 or 4 titles, it will be considered a disappointment, and probably even an overall failure. However, the current Heat roster lacks size. Juwan Howard is a decent role player, but he will be 38 before the start of the playoffs, and Zydrunas Ilgauskas is 35. The Heat, as the roster currently stands, do have problems with size.
The issue is therefore not about people “hating” on the Heat. Its about the fact that some Heat fans apparently don’t recognize the potential problems they are going to have with rebounding and interior defense. All they come back with is that the Big Three will simply out score everyone else in the NBA, and it simmply doesn’t matter who the Heat throw out on the court.
As I’ve said before, luckily for the Heat, Pat Riley is in charge, and I’m confident Riley understand recognizes the weaknesses and problems with the current roster, and I trust he will do what it takes to correct those problems. However, it’s still surprising to read how little Heat fans apparently understand basketball.
Only time will tell. In the end, all these matters will be decided on the court. I’m just surprised that there are apparently no Heat fans that understand the importance of size in basketball. Again, luckily for all of you, Pat Riley understand and he will work to correct the problems.

I am from Ohio and I am a Cav supporter. What I don’t understand is why are people hating on the Heat. They are going to be good from the start. They are odds on favorite to win it all and if every one took the time to get thier heads out thier @!#$@^% they would realize what they have. LA has an excellent team but right now DWade, LeBron and bosh are way better than Kobe, Paul, and Artest no doubt about it. Imagine Kobe coming down court with dwade on him and Lebron comes over and trap him Kobe will have a fit. Imagine kobe Mr. stopper deciding to stop Dwade whos going to stop lebron, Artest, I dont think so. Chris Bosh owns gasol. The rest will work out Z and Miller and company their coming will dominate this season. They will gel right when they are suppose to. SO QUIT HATING AND CONGRATULATE!

Deno – As a Redskins fan, I can say it is different…it was the ego of the owner, not the players, that has ruined the franchise. Here, the result will be a bit different…the Heat will be somewhat entertaining to watch, and they will win their fair share of games…but with 3 huge egos, 1 ball on the court at a time, no center, no bench and no depth, they will not likely win a championship anytime soon…Lebron will be in a Knicks or Nets Jersey after 3 years….

The Heat will be good but they have to gel as a team together first. This could take 2-3 years before they win a championship. By then, Kobe Bryant will be way past his prime, and the Heat can cash in their tokens.

Raja is going to L.A to kiss Kobe’s a**, Shaq is not welcome in Miami, Maybe Zydrunas Ilgauskas comes down here, I really will like to get A.I , this could be his best chance to win a tittle.Im sure we will be fine down here, we wont need that many rebounds ( the big three all could rebound plus they dont miss that much so there wont be a need to rebound )
