Here are the words of the man himself, speaking at a press conference after an owners meeting. Maverick Carter is really steamed somewhere after hearing this. Dan Gilbert was less steamed and more poor.

    Actually, he was more critical of James’s advice group than he was of James. And giving a fine to Gilbert, speaks for itself. As an owner, he is going to regret that email for years to come unless he somehows clear the air with James.

    Amazing how Dan Gilbert can be fined for saying what needed to be said, but the Miami Heat can’t be fined for tampering, which everyone knows they did.

    You can’t blame the man for wanting to leave — everyone knows that Ohio is death to ANY pro-team. The only team that wins in Ohio, and then not recently, is Ohio State; the whole state is cursed.
