"terrifying possibility"???
Please. 3 superstars and a bunch of loose ends. And not a situation where 1 or 2 players have to get used to the whole team-the whole team will be brand-new and have to learn to play together.
Then you must consider injuries. 3 supers + spare parts might work. 2 supers + parts? Not so good. And considering they'd likely be playing big minutes (you know, since the rest of the team blows)...

Who says that Lebron, Wade or Bosch are ego maniacs? I don't know much about Bosh, but Wade and Lebron were leaders on their "roster" so they where vocal. Yeah they have endorsement deals, commercials and everything, but as far as the team stuff, I've never heard anyone say they where bad teammates or anything. I don't see Barry Bonds type personalities here. I heard Jordan could be very hard to play with and would berate his teammates, actually put dudes in tears. If anything the problem will come with Lebron and Wade being to conciliatory towards each other. Pardon me; no pardon me; No I insist pardon me. See the teammates heads going back and forth; and Bosh says, F it pardon me.
Boston's situation worked out well because they where like a family. You have K.G as the talker and rally up guy - aggressive personality. Pierce as the string puller and best player - passive aggressive personality. Allen as the highly professional seldom talks when he does people listen - introverted personality. Throw in Rondo the talented young rebel giving leadership challenges, and then Big Baby an emotional but compliant spark plug. The strange but useful Rasheed Wallace. Then at the top you have Doc Rivers, the polished former champion, the Boss. The leadership dynamic alone almost won them a second championship in three years. That team should have a reality T.V show.
On this Miami team it will be interesting; psych majors everywhere may actually have to do case studies on it.

I remember the 1967 Phialadelphia Warriors. That team had 5 superstars on the court and one on the bench. The team consisted of Wilt Chamberlain, Chet "the Jet" Walker, Wally Jones, Hal Greer and Luke Jackson with Billy Cunningham off the bench. They won only one championship, the Celtics dominated them with team play.
I don't believe the Heat or any other team will win with three ego manics, oh I mean superstars on their team. Basketball is a team sport and you need players who can spell the starters or you won't win.
Yes, the first twenty or so games they'll look like world beaters, but the season is 80 games long. And, without role players, you'll never win the close ones and you'll be worn out by the end of the season.
Give me a team of good players and just as good role players and I'll clean up that league.

I'm not sure that LeBron could play on a team with another up and coming superstar. Shaq was a different story because he is on his way out of the league. I quess that time will tell.

this would be great for the nba. and for the city of miami. not to mention that this is the only chance lebron has to win a championship.if he goes to the bulls there isnt enough expeirenceto win in the playoffs there, and the knicks and nets will take a couple of years if ever for him to winone. this is why miami is the only place that makes any sense for lebron. as for bosh for hin to even get to the playoffs would be a step up for him. he is used to playing his 82 games then calling it quits. this is his only chance to one get to the playoffs and two win a championship.these three playing together is a good trio. wade and lebron are not shot first players but are also good a creating shots for themselves. on this team bosh will deffinetly be the tird opption in the crunch time. look at last years all star game that is just a taste of what lebron and wade are capable of doing together in a game. if one of the three are having an off game the other two are good enough to take over the game. plus not many teams have three great defenders so if one of the "new big three" is being gaurded by a bad defender they can exploit the other teams weakness and win games though this player. this player will most often be bosh because tams will focus most on lebron and wade. that is whyu this is going to happeen and will be great for all three of them, the city of miami, and for the nba.

Michael's $30 million one contract in 1996 represented more money than the Chicago had paid him from 84-95 (the Bulls honored his contract during his baseball years). Michael was considered the best basketball player in the league before Chicago Bull's paycheck represented such opinion.
Lebron is the one player that hasn't shied away from being compared to Michael. And if he wants to come anywhere close to the same league as Jordan, he is going to have to win championships.
His endorsements will easily supplement any cut he takes in salary. And if he goes to Miami with Bosh and Wade and wins a handful of championships, his drops in numbers won't matter. To take a paycut to win championships in one's prime. from a PR and marketing standpoint is gold.

I keep seeing all this talk about Lebron taking less money to play in Miami ~ I'm wondering if the people arguing this point are taking into consideration the fact that Florida has no state income tax... what's the income tax rate for bajillionaires in Chicago, Illinois? I mean we know that Chicago has the highest sales tax in the country - truth is moving to Illinois for a guy of Lebrons considerable means, will mean basically getting taxed out the proverbial wazoo relative to relocating to an endless summer in the 305.
