The Timberwolves getting Lazar Hayward is not a “what” Wes Matthews was not even drafted last year (Marquette) and he started for the Jazz in the Playoffs! Lazar may not be a star in the making but I see him as a Bruce Bowen type shut down defender with the 3 shot. How did Bowen do for the Spurs?? The experts are myopic stooges with no vision of the program the players come from or the conference they played in. They will eat their words on this one.

The Wolves got worked, they took on Webster, who might be more athletic than Gomes, but isn’t necessarily better, and gave them up a pick just outside the lottery. The Wolves could have grabbed a player of need at 16, and done the trade for the 23rd pick.

Really, he got worked? Gomes was a below average player last year, whom the Timberwolves had been wanting to get rid of. And in case you hadn’t noticed, the moves that were made, made it clear the Timberwolves are going after one of the big name free agents.
