Martell never got a chance in Portland. He never got his rythm or confidence due to fragmented minutes. He is very talented.

Dear Matt, you are foolish.. Martell is a C+ player and that is being generous. He is extremely streaky and inconsistent. Ya he has his days but that’s what inconsistency is, weird how that works huh? Being a native to stump town i have watched him play many times and i applaud Kev. Pritch for dumping him. Hopefully you are indeed from Minnesota and you will get to see him play.. And most likely, also be disappointed

So, this Matt guy is a Wolves fan eh? He’s definitely not a Blazer fan or he’d know that Webster doesn’t have the handles to be a 2. He’s awfully defensive of a terrible trade.

Not sure you’re competent enough in basketball to be a basketball journalist, Gomes won’t be staying in Portland, otherwise they’ll owe him almost $5M next year, they’ll release him by July 1st. As for Babbitt, he’s a 3/4 tweener, just like Gomes, too slow to guard 3s, to small to guard 4s, the Wolves didn’t need another slow footed, unathletic player like Babbitt, they have two already in Jefferson and Love. They especially don’t need under the rim players on the wing like Babbitt once Rubio is here, that’s why they received a talented near 40% 3 shooting Webster, who has very good to great athleticism while also being a very good defender. I’m sure you didn’t know Webster’s natural position is the 2 and he didn’t get a lot of minutes there because they had Brandon Roy. Don’t be too quick to make judgments when you don’t have all your facts straight.

Title is wrong. Webster was traded FROM Portland, not Minnesota.
