Celts are gonna have to do a lot more than getting rid of Perkins to catch the Lakers! Celts big 3 are long in the tooth gonna need to stock up on Bengay. No way any sane GM trades down to get a center with mental problems and now knee problems.

Perk is so one dimensional. He is one of the best defensive bigs in the league but when it comes to offense he is a huge liability. Personally I would like to see Perk used as more of a role player, used for defensive purposes. I think he would be much better coming off the bench. The Celtics need more of a well rounded big man who can score down low. Perk looks like a fish out of water when he has the ball in his hands. I think the lack of an athletic big man killed us this year. I say trade him unless you can keep him as a bench player, and at $4,390,208 salary with a bad knee to boot, I can’t imagine teams will be lining up to take him off our hands.

You trade who you can get value while still being able to afford the loss. Perkins has been a rock for the Cetics yes. But when they come in 11th place next year, you’ll be screaming for a change!!!

Perkins – worst hands in the NBA, perhaps the worst I have seen in Boston since Dick Stuart played first for the Sox in the 60′s.
His offense has completelty deteriorated, get 2-4 shots blocked every game.
His defense is overrated, not mobile, does not help out well at all.
Perhaps the dumbest Celtic ever, no court sense.
Please, get rid of him, anyway you can.

I don’t like trading Perk, unless we can somehow get DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins will be a perennial All-Star no matter where he ends up.

I sure hope they don’t trade him. Perk has been the unspoken star all post season. He allows teams to use single coverage on the superstar bigs. I sure hope Danny Ainge knows what he is doing.
