Jersey Mike, It's amazing how you avid net fans were all giddy when
CDR had a decent coach and was producing early on. The coach changed, the system changed, and this kid fell out of favor with the new joke of a coach who didnt have a clue as to how to use this kid. He is young and he did say some things that he should have kept to himself. But you get that kind of reaction from a kid that was not accustomed to losing. This kid is not a cancer as he has been made out to be. He just became the popular guy to dump on because he spoke out about losing. I watched CDR for 3 years at Memphis and he was never selfish, as you call him. The nets will regret this trade down the road. You can take that to the bank. Godspeed Chris, and shake the haters!!

"An up-and-coming talent" that couldn't find a way to contribute to a 12 win team. As an avid Nets fan/watcher, CDR is a one dimensional, me-first, selfish "talent." He can score, albeit not efficiently. He has no jumper. He does not rebound. He does not pass or defend. Worst of all he routinely criticized his teammates and coaches via Twitter when things did not go his way. He was a second round pick two years ago and has done nothing to improve his worth in his two years in the league.

Russian billionaire shakeup, huh? Doesn't make an ounce of sense to deal an up-and-coming talent like Chris Douglas-Roberts for a 2nd round (throw away) pick in 2012. Interested to learn the additional considerations and relation to either a 2nd deal on draft night or free agency. As of now, like it as a Knicks fan, but have a sneaky suspicion things here are not as they seem.
