Here’s an interesting LeBron quote from today’s event:
“Akron is my home, it’s my life. … Everything I do is for this city. I’m going to continue to do great things. I love every last one of you all. Akron is home.”
It’s a carefully worded statement. It could sound like a guy who doesn’t want to leave home, or it could sound like a guy who’s preparing to possibly leave his hometown and is attempting to soften the blow. “Everything I do is for this city” — This could easily translate to: “Even if I go to NY or Chicago or Miami, it’s for you guys. Trust me.”
