David West said it best while in New Orleans—there was NO TRUST in Scott’s system… he wasn’t an effective coach. He’s not an X’s and O’s type of guy... that’s why he got run out of N.O… just like he got run out of Jersey. His success will always be measured by his personnel and his rah-rah motivation…never by the tactical powers he brings to the table. When players begin to realize that there’s little beneath the glamorous exterior, he begins to lose their ears…usually within about 3 years. Time and time again we see him outcoached by smarter, better prepared coaches because of his predictable methods (i.e. screen-and-roll with Paul/Chandler). His shortcomings lay in his inability to adapt, his lack of creativity, and his stubbornness… Honestly, criticize Thibodeau all you want for being a workaholic obsessed over his job and watching tape late into the night…that sure beats Byron Scott’s penchant for being overly buddy-buddy with his players and hitting the links. I'll pass.

The reason the Cavs are nit moving fast is that there's not a lot of great candidates out there, plus its hard for them to do anything until King James makes his decision.
