Phil is getting flat out out coached in this series. He is a slightly above average coach who has the exceptional knack for coaching whoever the team with the most talent is in the league and the team with the best player. Let’s face it, Tex Winter was the brains behind the Bulls and coaching Michael Jordan to championships isn’t all that big of an accomplishment, nor is coaching a team with Shaq in his prime and Kobe as his donkey. Larry Bird made KC Jones look like a genius, Hakeem made Rudy T look like a genius. The difference is both those guys knew it was about the players and Phil believes his own hype. Class act? More like Class Opportunist. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Phil leave L.A. and seek out the all star free agent team of lebron and whoever he ends up with if this year doesn’t pan out. He’s that kind of coach.

Phil Jackson is a class act. If only I hadn’t been a Celtics fan since the days of Bill Russell, who knows? I might (shudder) even like the Lakers just because he’s their coach.
