As an MSU fan, if Lebron stays and Izzo goes, I wil never ever have anything but utter hatred for Lebron James.
PS Stay Izzo, it’s not like you need the money. Your legacy will be fine.
Big gamble. “One of the greatest college coaches of all time” OR “Won a title with the Cavs for Lebron”.
College is where it’s at. March Madness > NBA Playoffs every year without fail.

Bill: Ol’ Smithy has a point. Recall the song old ditty that is, for plenty of Ohioans, a college sport anthem.

The distinction between UM and MSU is understood but is not relevant to some Ohioans. I respectfully suggest that Ol’ Smithy may be more in tune with Ohio sports fans than you.

First of all, hes from michigan state and not michigan. Any true ohio sports fan can decipher the difference. Second of all, an NBA title and a national title are two very different things. If you don’t understand sports, don’t comment on them.

It will be really hard for any true Cleveland fan to welcome someone from Michigan to coach the Cavs, but if he can help them win a national title… we might just forget where he came from for a little while. Being from Cleveland, I have made my peace with the fact that they will NEVER win a national title in anything… maybe bowling.

The whole coaching carousel is stupid. Of course, no one is doing any moves on coaching or players until the first domino falls (Lebron). Not taking $$$$$ from Cleveland for Izzo is the wise choice at this point. He will ruin his reputation in Cleveland with or without Lebron.
