No, it DOESN’T make sense. Here’s why:
Toronto is likely going to be rebuilding following the Bosh trade. Who starts a rebuild by trading away their top young player and a lottery pick? Turkoglu is a better player than Nocioni (though it’s close), despite his off-year, and DeRozan is a better player than Garcia with much, much more upside. And over the next two years, the Raptors would actually be paying more to Garcia and Nocioni than they would to Turkoglu and Derozan. So you’re asking the Raptors to take on more short-term salary, worse players, give up on Derozan’s significant upside, AND give up a lottery draft pick, just so they can save money in years four and five of Hedo’s contract? One point I agree with you on, though: Hedo would be a brutal fit with the Kings as well; by his own admission he’s worse playing off the ball, which makes him an awful fit next to Evans. So tell me again, how does that deal make sense?
I think he ends up playing for Toronto at the beginning of next year. By the end of next season, he’ll either be reconciled with the franchise, bought out, or traded to another team (not Sacramento).

honestly, Tony’s proposed idea DOES make sense, when considering Hedo’s contract goes up every year from 9.8 to 12 mil a year over the course of 4 years. That, combined with the CBA coming up, significantly lowering player’s salaries makes his contract even more atrocious. The Raps are going to have to deal someone they like to get rid of that horrible contract. IMHO though, Hedo is too old, and doesnt exactly fill any needs for the Kings right now who are stacked at the wing positions in Garcia, Casspi, and Greene. So no thanks, Toronto can keep their garbage.

And while I realize they aren’t as bad as Hedo’s, to suggest the Raps give up Derozan AND the 13th pick is absolutely rubbish.

Sorry the Raptors don’t want to lose both DeRozan and the 13th pick in exchange for 2 out of 3 of Sac’s bad contracts and a second rounder. We’d rather keep Hedo at the end of the bench.

as a Sacramento Kings Fan I would love to See Hedo in a Kings Jersey agian , We love Hedo. Toronto Gets Cisco Garcia ,Noci , the # 33rd pick For Hedo ,Derozan , and the 13th Pick. it would work out for both teams if that deal went down. thats the only way the Kings would take on Hedo Contract. Hedo does not want to be in Toronto he wants to be in Sacramento. also other team are not interested in Hedo Bad Contract . I think if a Trade went down Sacramento might pull the Trigger on a Trade i Mentioned above.
