It’s comical that the refs are to blame for Kobe having a bad game. Through three quarters the free throw discrepancy was 35-12??? Seeing as the Celtics dominated the paint, that’s inexcusable. Kobe had one foul he didn’t deserve… the Rondo falling out of bounds. He got one absolute gift on a shot in the fourth that he didn’t have a man near him and got the foul call.
The bottom line is that Ray Allen stopped Kobe from going to his right and that severely limited his options. The Celtics were swarming well and Kobe would have had a lot more assists if the Lakers shot better. The good thing for them is they got to the line.

I wouldn’t say they found a way to slow Kobe, when it was phantom fouls that kept him out of rhythm and prevented him from impacting the game in the 4th when the game was somewhat close.

I ain’t complaining about bad ref calls, Celtics killed us with a great end game in the last 2 minutes. I still like our chances of snatching a couple of wins at the TD Garden.

I think we’ve seen some of the worst and some of the best from each team. Good scorers – Odom and Garnett- on both teams have had weak performances so far. Artest was nearly a liability offensively in game 2. Game 3 could be the shakeout game and reveal which team has the most adaptable offense and talent and which one can simply outplay the other.

Credit the Celtics for better defense, but I would definitely say that the officials played a big role in slowing down Kobe…
