Tony has been the media and “fans”‘ whipping boy forever. Just because Tony acknowledges his mistakes versus the other players who don’t.
Were Tony’s mistakes any worse than Rondo trying to drive THREE times on Dwight Howard in a row? hmmm, I think not.
Where are all of the apologies to Tony when he shuts down the leading scorers on the other team? The only consistently good defender on the Celtics squad is Tony Allen (an Eddie Sutton disciple).

This article is yet another example of the wild hyperbole writers make from game to game. Tony Allen has ONE GAME where he got in foul trouble and never got going. All of the sudden, Matt Moore declares it a “meltdown.” Ray Allen also had a bad game and then bounced back for a record-breaking 3-point shooting display. It’s just one game. Tony Allen also rebounded with a better game.
This also coincides with other articles declaring the Lakers being too big and too talented for the Celtics to compete with. The series was allegedly over according to several posters just two days ago. Well, now it’s tied and heading back to Boston.
