Absolutely atrocious officiating in both games. These are some of the worst calls I've ever seen. It's a shame that the biggest stage and greatest rivalry in basketball has to be spoiled by a few morons who blow their whistles every 30 seconds. God almighty, whatever happened to letting them play? You touch a guy and it's a foul in this series. Better yet, they bump into you and it's still your foul. I'm so sick of these pu#%y calls. There's absolutely no flow to the game, because you can't watch two plays without a foul being called. These are the best the NBA has to offer?

I agree with the idea that the refs are using the double technical far too much. They should be able to track what's happening and call real technical fouls on the guilty players. But they can't. This is not surprising since, IMHO, alot of the refs are incompetent. Many of them are dinosaurs that are out of touch with today's game and need to retire (e.g. Bennett Salvatore, Ed Rush, Joe Crawford, Dick Bavetta). But almost all of them are knee-jerk robots that miss many calls, especially offensive fouls (e.g. Paul Pierce's propensity for committing offensive fouls and getting to the foul line anyway). The entire NBA officiating team needs a rebuilding effort.
But the truth is that the situation Perkins is in is his own fault. Look up sour-puss in the dictionary and there's Perkin's picture. The guy never smiles and always looks angry. Boston could be up 40 points, Perkins could be relaxing on the bench, and he still looks angry. I don't think I've ever seen him even look calm, much less smile. He's in a situation similar to Rasheed's situation a few years ago, when Sheed had given the refs so much grief that they would call a technical on him just for his facial expression. Perk needs to go to a smile clinic and learn to look like a millionaire human that's making big bucks playing a game :-). Smile bro.

"This whole thing is silly. NBA referees have gone to using the double technical as a way to settle down situations all to often."
The to that Craig was talking about is the "all to often". Should be "all too often". He's right.

How many players have been suspended for 7 techs, one or two? Why is this a big deal all of the sudden? It's no one's fault but Perk's that he's in this mess. If this was an issue that came up every year, I would agree with you about the league policy. However, the only people that get hit with this are noted hotheads like Perk and Sheed. It's their fault, not the league's.

Since we are making a big deal about grammer, rather than the NBA Finals... why not call out the spelling of "it ads up"...
which should be "it adds up"!!!!

Craig is correct - "all to often" should be "all too often".
Not that it matters - or has anything to do with the story...
