Haha, well if not the three points then the Suns have no other option or prhaps they could teach Channing Frye some post-up moves?
Bottomline is that the Lakers is the better team, 2 points down the rim, perimeter shooting or 3 point shooting, they did better than the suns…
Up tempo type of game of the Suns, Lakers showed them how it was done, clinic baby. Lakers in 4, 5 if Suns get Lucky…

To mick, Steve posted his first comment correctly and as clear as the water. If you know basketball you will understand what he meant on his first comment. It got longer because you can’t understand. To make it more understable, go back to last year finals. Orlando are the best 3 pointer in the league but no defense at all and lost. L.A. can shoot 3′s but their defense and their penetration inside got them the ring. Only if Orlando and Suns meet on Finals, then you can say 3′s can win you championship. But not in NBA history where a team shoot good 3′s but no defense win a championship.

When you say “your gameplan” I am assuming you mean the Suns gameplan. Their gameplan wouldn’t necessarily be my gameplan, I’m supporting my hometeam buddy. Do you notice how it took you 4 posts to get your point across? It’s clear the Lakers are still the best team in the league I’m not denying that but when you say you cannot win a campionship by shooting 3′s you sound ignorant. What’s keeping these NBA teams in the future from winning titles with great 3 point shooting as we are seeing more talented players every year? According to you it may not have been done in the past but what about years to come? I know you can predict the future, I bet you also know whether or not the world is going to end 2012.

you are not listening to what i am saying. it is not possible to win a championship with your game plan and strategy is first 3 point shooting. 3 pointers should be made in the flow of the game when needed, not as first option. even when the lakers win a game ,phil is not happy if they took 30 3 pointers. he understands you live and die with that shot.the defense in the last 2 rounds is to good to have 3 point shot as first option. example, suns 5 years in a row and orlando the last 2 years.just look at last 12 champions, lakers, spurs,boston, and 1 by the heat. my wording is completely accurate. the facts support it. same suns, always trying to outscore teams, and not worrying what they give up.

You’re right Steve the Suns have played no defense in the playoffs. Now if the Suns keep playing defense like they did in game 1 against the Lakers, then yes there is no way they will win a title. There is also a big difference between the Suns defense, pre and post allstar break. Steve, didn’t I say the Lakers won due to their “clutch” 3 pt shooting. Yes the Heat did have a future hall of famer in Dwayne Wade but they also wouldn’t have been able to come back from 0-2 without Posey’s shooting. Your poor use of wording made it sound like it’s impossible to shoot 3′s and win a championship.

Actually, statistically, this Suns team is actually worse defensively than some of the D’Antoni led teams. Raja Bell and Shawn Marion were excellent defenders on those teams. Those Suns teams did get hammered with untimely injuries and suspensions. A healthy Joe Johnson or an unsuspended Amare would have led to a Finals appearance and a possible ring rather than an untimely ousting for those teams.

This will be a comment from Amare he’ll wish he could take back … anyone who watched the Lakers during the regular season will tell you Odom is more than lucky; he’s driven. And Amare just gave Odom more reason. Yes, throwing gasoline on a fire is a good tactic!!
Honestly, I can’t even believe the Suns are in the WCF series. Even racked with injuries, Portland beat them at home. I agree with Steve’s comments (above). No team ever won the finals shooting 30 or more 3-pointers as a strategy or game plan. Oh, and the Lakers are No.1 in the league defending 3s. Lakers were rated No. 1 in defense all year.
It’s going to be the Celtics and the Lakers for the championship because both are defensive-minded teams. I said this weeks ago, even when all the top-paid sports analysts were betting on Cleveland, then touting Orlando. Look who was right … can I get a fat paycheck from ESPN or NBC now?

oh, by the way i do know more about basketball history than you. the lakers did not win 3 in a row because of the three point shot.they built at a team around two hall of famers. oh, they also knew how to make the clutch shot from role players.also miami beat dallas because of another hall of famer called wade not posy.

i do not know what you are talking about. the lakers won in 2001 because thay had shaquille and kobe, two best players ever. no team has ever won champiionship taking 30 three pointers a game. there is a big difference making a clutch three here and there.the suns give up way to many points to be considered a great defensive team. i am not sure what you are watching. the suns are soft and a finesse team. they are cute little team that will never win the big one.

Steve I cant tell who’s jock your on is it the Lakers or the Magic? Also why not try watching basketball the whole season and not hop on the band wagon during playoff time. Suns have been winning games with their defense and energy, their 3 point shooting has just a weapon to spread the floor. You say nobody has won a championship by shooting 3′s? You seem to know a lot about basketball history, did you forget when the Lakers won the title in 2001 due to their clutch 3 pt shooting? Also I believe Posey’s great 3 point shooting for the Heat played a big role in there title but then again champions dont need to shoot 3′s to win right?

I cannot understand why Amare doesn’t dominate the boards other than the fact other players are more hungry. There is no reason Grant Hill and J Rich should be out rebounding him in the playoffs. Odom should not beasting anyone on the boards like that and putting up Dwight Howard type rebound numbers. It’s time to get physical Suns and play like you want it more than they do.
