Riffing a bit off comments the color dude was making last night about the Magic not taking the Celtics seriously (in the Conferance Finals!!), at end of 1st quarter the Celtics scored a basket with 3.7 secs left to cut the Magic lead.
3.7 secs is an eternity in the NBA. I’ve seen 3 scores in 3.7 secs. Anyway, the smart play is to throw a pass to halfcourt & call timeout. You get the ball on the side with approx 3 secs left. Do the Magic do that? No! They just throw the ball in to Nelson & he dribbles up the court & gets a desperation 35 footer that hits nothing.
That’s when I decided they just don’t have the killer instinct.
