Phil Jackson is the best coach ever. Did Michael win a title w/o Phil? NO Did Kobe win one w/o Phil? NO. The man is an absolute genius. Every time his team wins game one of a series, they ALWAYS win the series. The man has 10 championship rings. Say what you want about him but at the end of the day he has 10 rings, which is absolutely remarkable. Coaches would kill just to have 1, and he has 10. And once Phil, Kobe, and the rest of the Lakers get revenge on those Celtics he will have to get a chain and wear the ring around his neck, cause all the fingers are taken.

Bwaahhaaahaaahhaaha.
The problem in the East is that there is no team long enough to compete with the Magic. The problem in the NBA is that there is no team long enough to compete with the Lakers, who by the way, have three players to throw at Superman while still having two of the best defenders in the league (Kobe and Artest) to put on the Magic’s remaining scoring threats.
Case closed.

Phil Jackson is just having a little fun at Nash’s expense, and he’s smart to work the refs to watch for Nash carrying the ball. Phil Jackson will win another ring as coach, cementing his role as greatest sports coach ever. Kobe will outshine Nash and the Lakers will defeat the arizona Suns in 5 games. Celtics will break out the Kryptonite Leprechaun and defeat Stuporman Howard and the untested Magic. Lakers-Celtics NBA Finals will be the best possible matchup, the last two NBA champs and the two best franchises are the greatest grudge match we can witness.

What coach wins consistantly without a top player in the league?
Red Auerbach had Russel, Cousy, Heinsohn, etc.
Pop had David Robinson and Tim Duncan
Kundla had Mikan in the 50s
Riley had Magic, Abdul-Jabbar, and Worthy. Plus Wade/Shaq in Miami

Who cares about Phil Jackson. Most overrated coach in any sport. Never won a championship without having the best player in the league and a stacked roster. Ohh what a great guy. Maybe he should comment on how the refs call games for his spoiled rapist star.

Phil also had disparaging things to say about the way officials treat Kevin Durant. He said Durant is mollicoddled and gets to the foul line way too much.
Funny, I always thought the same about most superstars — including Kobe. He doesn’t seem to have any troubled getting to the free-throw line.
When Phil played, carrying and traveling were called more often. Lots of point guards in today’s NBA do what used to be whistled for carrying the ball. Of course, Phil’s just trying to mix it up before the series. Maybe he should start by saying, “Back in my day …”

If anything the refs are going to view this as an affront their ability to call a legitimate game, and turn the tables on Phil. Expect more controversial calls against the Lakers this time around, who, despite this, will still be showing up in the finals. And for my money, winning them, again.
