LeBron to Chicago suddenly hot rumor of the day

May 12, 2010, 9:15 PM EDT

Thumbnail image for James_dunk.jpgLast night’s performance by LeBron James dumped gasoline on the rumor mill.

It’s been an out of control fire, a day of speculation and guesswork all over the Web. But nowhere was that flame hotter than when ESPN’s Chris Broussard went on television and said that if James decides to leave Cleveland, the Chicago Bulls are his number one choice. The Chicago Tribune, among other outlets, reported that.

You should take this with salt. A shaker of salt. Still there’s a little something to this. First, Broussard has developed relationships with people close to James.

Second, if he wants to win, the Bulls may be the fastest route to the title. The Bulls have another All-Star level player in Derrick Rose, plus some good inside play from the likes of Joakim Noah and Luol Deng. The supporting cast there would be good and with James they would be instant contenders.

But the smart money is still on him staying in Cleveland. Even with the rumors of the last day.

I watched yesterday’s game. Boston came to play and win, Cleveland was just filling uniforms. Why the terrible performance from not only Lebron but the rest of the Cav’s as well. Rumor is that Lebron slept with Delante West’s wife before Monday’s game, that the rest of the Cav’s are aware of the affair and that Lebron didn’t even travel with the team on the bus on the way to the game on Thursday. It does explain why Lebron could not look the camera
“in the face” during his post-game interviews. Guilt has a way of taking the spirit out of a person and the shame of your actions makes it almost impossible to focus on the job at hand. It’s only another rumor of course, but it can’t be pressure, Lebron thrives on it. Nope, it’s something big playing on his mind. People are not themselves when they know they screwed up big time, and in this case he let down the whole team and the rest of the team has lost a certain amount of respect for him. Afterall, here’s a man who has the words “Loyalty” and “Family” tatooed on his body.

there is no way he can win a championship in clevland within the next 5 years, he wants to win now and lets just face it clevland doesn’t have it……. Truly they trade away all there big names, from baseball, football, to basketball, so what makes lebron any different? The whole city in sports will be permanently rebuilding, no chance in clevland…….

you have lost your mind and still haven’t found it……. lebron james is a superstar and if you say you wouldn’t love to have him on your team, your lying. overrated ha, since he has been in the league he has been one of the greatest, i don’t personally care for his attitude but skills wise, he is money in the bank. he just needs players around him that kobe bryant has, switch him teams with kobe and they would never lose a championship either, beware next year in chicago lebron hater’s…….

are you kidding me, with a good new coach, and lebron, chicago would have a better chance at the championship than cleveland did this year, or OKC, lebron had nobody to back him up at cleveland, and with D Rose and Ben Miller, etc. they would defintely have a championship in at least two years

Noah+Lebron=Championship, along with Miller, and Rose, you are all crazy to think that he wouldnt do good, and to have him play on the same team that the Legend MJ did the man hes compared to, but defintely is not as good as, Lebron to chicago all the way, a new coach and The BULLS will be 2011 NBA Champions. by the way anyone who thinks that lebron is better than MJ, MJ took seven years to win his first championship, this year was lebrons 7th year, and look where hes at, The OFFSEASON. haha.
