Nice story. Yup, the Blazers accomplished a lot; young team, unbelievable amount of injuries and still posted regular season 50 wins and 2 playoff losses on the second hottest team in the league - post All-Star break.
Who knows what the future will be for them? Add a healthy Oden, Roy, Batum and a few players older than 21 and you've got the making of something formidable. Good job Blazers!

"The Blazers will be back, though the questions now begin as to what the path to the future is, after the path they thought was set became so different."
How exactly is the path different? By adding Camby? You make that sound like a bad thing.
Assuming good health and a peaceful off-season, Portland's a legit #2 conference-wise. They were only 3-4 games from doing that this year with all their problems.

I lived in Portland from 2000 to 2006 (great, great city). The Blazers players of that era were known for record setting personal fouls, getting caught with marijuana down their pants, and domestic violence. they were an embarrassment. this group is like a breath of fresh air. These Blazers deserve Portland and Portland deserves these Blazers. See you next year.

Heads high... the Blazer's season was off the charts... all things considered. Coach Nate ruptured his Achilles stepping in to practice because there weren't enough healthy bodies. Bravo and get well soon - ALL of you!
