Ah, the rites of spring are upon us. The birds are singing. The temperatures are rising. The 76ers are golfing. Doug Collins is linked to their coaching vacancy. But seriously, he has a proven record of regular-season success, at least. He knows a lot about the game. He has family in the area. Why not? It's not like he could do any worse than Eddie Jordan, right? But while we're at it, Phil Jackson will be coaching "somewhere" next season--why not here? We could use some Zen around here.
By the way, isn't this the year Stefanski promised to be in the playoffs? When he took over mid-season the first year, he said it was a lost cause, and they probably wouldn't even make it the next one. They made it those first two seasons. And what of this year? --crickets--
