Yes, this video is fake. It’s an actual local LA television news look and intro, so it feels real. But it is not.

The beauty of it, of all good satire, is that it is just close enough to reality to hit home. And if you’ve interacted with Kobe fans, if you’ve seen how some LA fans treat Kobe like a deity, you’d think this is pretty damn funny.

    Kurt, your “spoiler alert” actually spoiled the surprise. That’s the exact opposite of what a spoiler alert is intended to do, which is to PREVENT spoiling our fun. Next time say something like “Before you read any further, please watch this video now.”
