The people paying to go to basketball games deserve a sincere effort from both teams to be competitive, otherwise their tickets should be partially refunded because they are not getting a quality product. The Cavs have raised ticket prices because they have Lebron James, and by association people will pay more to see the game. You shouldn’t be able to rip these people off by resting a guy and telling them the game they are going to is unimportant. That is unfair to the fans of the game, especially since they buy the tickets ahead of time.
