And no Andrew, this whole Tyreke “love” isnt getting ridiculous. Evans rookie year has great historical significance in the NBA. The man deserves sole possession of the ROY award. I will be EXTREMELY surprised if there is any outcome other than Evans being the sole recipient of the award. There is no possible way to justify any other rookie winning the award because no other rookie has had as good of a season as Tyreke. You may go now.

The significance of the 20/5/5 stat is FAR MORE significant than a single game performance. Anyone without bias will agree with me. Pull your head out of your ass. Evans is averaging 20/5/5 for over 70 games! Thats one whole season of ridiculous numbers. If it isnt in the bag now then its just a case of everyone hating on Evans and the Kings. Hes the only superstar talent out of the draft. Tell me how hard it is to score 20+ points per game while starting for the warriors. Everytime i see that teams final score its between 120-130 points. Theyve got NBDL players regularly scoring 30 points on that team. ROY isnt an arguement as far as the clear thinking person is concerned. You fail.

Yes, Tyreke is averaging 20-5-5. Puts him in elite rookie status historically. Here’s more similar type of stats for you. Only 3 rookies has ever scored over 30 points and had over 10 assists in a game … Oscar Robertson has the most for a rookie, Michael Jordan is tied for second with Stephen Curry with 5 games. Steph has the 3rd most this year, after Wade and Lebron. Tyreke is having a historic rookie season, but he’s not the only one.

This whole Tyreke love is getting ridiculous. The argument about him doing it the entire year is getting so old. Now that Tyreke has missed a week or so due to injury, does that eliminate him from being ROY, since he hasn’t played the same level the entire year? Of course it doesn’t! So the “entire season” argument shouldn’t be used in his favor either. Don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t be surprised or upset if Tyreke wins it, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if Curry wins it as well, or even if it ends up being a split between the two.

Are you seriously gonna say that Curry, playing on the notoriously bad defensively Warriors and who is known at least now in his career as lackluster on D, is putting better effort on D than Tyreke? Ok man, Tyreke is already a top defender not only for the rookie class, but for his position. He has shut down multiple elite players and consistently does well on D when it truly matters. In the end, Reke is having a top decade rookie season, while Curry is having a ROY worthy season.

Curry is averaging 17 pts 6 assists and 4 reb plus almost 2 steals a game. He puts out better effort on defense and makes some incredible plays. I’m not saying he should win the ROY over Reke but I’m tired of people acting like its incredulous that people would talk about it.

He should be worried to learn how to distribute the ball more than just getting a jumper at least if he truly wants to be a PG.
It says a lot about NBA right now that we gonna get the second PG ROY in a row who is a below average passer.

Tyreke Evans should be ROY. Curry is good since the all star break, jennings was decent the 1st 2 months but dropped off big time.
But Tyreke has been good since the beginning and all the way through. 20/5/5…. its not easy. Only those 3 legends have done it. I think a lot of media people are forgetting how hard it is to get 20/5/5 for even veterans, let alone a rookie.
Tyreke also gets defended by guys like Ron Artest, Brandon Roy, basically the best perimeter defender of any team. Does Curry or Jennings get that treatment? NO
