All franchise power forwards, not one could get you a championship with a team built around their talents.
Duncan, 4 rings. The only franchise PF of the last 30 years to carry his team to a championship with a team built around him. But there are still people who try to tell you he’s not really a PF but a C.
So if history is something to be learned from, do you really wanna throw a max contract at a 4-man, albeit an extremely young, talented one, when all but one of the best PF’s of 2 generations couldnt get you a ring?
Bosh is hardly Tim Duncan (Duncan plays defense), so with all this being known, do you offer him a max? I wouldn’t think so if a championship is your ultimate goal.

And without Kobe he still might not have. So?
I don’t think anyone is questioning how good Bosh is. I just don’t know if he’s the guy you build a franchise around.

Isn’t the real question whether Bosh is a player you build around or a second tier guy to someone like Lebron or D-Wade?
Can a team with Bosh win a title? I suppose it’s possible but I’m not sure. He needs better support than Dwight Howard or Lebron need. And perhaps even better support than Durant.
