Bogut undergoes successful surgery

Apr 6, 2010, 4:46 PM EDT

The Associated Press is reporting that Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut underwent successful on Monday afternoon to repair his injured right hand. Bogut injured his hand, wrist, and elbow on the same gruesome fall during a game against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday.

Bogut is expected to begin rehab in six weeks, which makes the chances he’ll play before next season extremely slim. Fortunately, the surgery appears to have went well, and Bogut was tweeting about soccer star Lionel Messi earlier in the day. Hopefully Bogut can make a full recovery and pick up where he left off when he does get back on the court.
