Outdoor preseason game will happen again

Apr 1, 2010, 3:46 PM EST

The Phoenix Suns will host an outdoor preseason game for the third year in a row. According to Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com, the Suns will host the Dallas Mavericks in a game that will take place on October 9th in Indian Wells, California. The Suns have yet to win an outdoor game, having lost to the Nuggets last year and the Golden State Warriors the year before that.

Suns president and CEO Rick Welts said the following in a statement: “NBA fans in the Coachella Valley will see two of the NBA’s most popular and entertaining teams square off in the world’s most picturesque outdoor setting for basketball.” If you like basketball, and you like picturesque, Indian Wells is probably a good place to be on October 9th.
