Amidst all the smiles and hugs that will accompany veteran center Zydrunas Ilgauskas’ return to the team that drafted him, somebody was going to have to get cut to make room. Unfortunately for power forward Darnell Jackson, that somebody was him. According to the twitter account of the Akron Beacon-Journal’s George Thomas, Darnell Jackson was waived this morning.

This makes no sense
15 of Jackson’s 21 points this season came during a two-game stretch in March, when Jackson scored five points against the Warriors and 10 points against the Washington Wizards. Since then, Jackson hasn’t sniffed the rotation, and has made one field goal since November 18th.
How could he have only made one field goal since Nov. 18 when in the previous sentence, it states he scored 5 against GS and 10 against WS?
