Why do we peer into things so much. People, relax its the number of a jersey. He made a mistake, no one got hurt. Learn to forgive. You guys can be so critical, but yet so forgetful (in that you are only a moment of grace away from your slip up). Now, if he acts a fool again, then by all means cut the kid; but at least give him a chance. And please lay off Vick. He has done his time.

I’m no Gilbert fan. I think he got what he deserved.
Yes, the guy is a total idiot for bringing guns to the locker room – that too in DC!
But comparing an idiot like him to a dog-torturing monster like Vick, or a complete head-case like Tyson, just shows how clueless @KimEne is.
Oh well.

He acts like an immature child. He has no repect for authority. He cares for nobody but himself and the team trades away their best players and quality people for this slug and he gets to stay. What is wrong with this picture. Now he is acting like he always has and making decisions about his number. Nothing has changed and until the wizards get rid of him and get good quality people they will never get any better. These are the reasons I am not a fan of the NBA. I am a Redskin fan, a Caps fan and a Nats fan but I will never be a wizards fan because they keep immature idiots like Arenas around.

This goes to show Gilberts utter lack of ability to treat the situation he’s in seriously as an adult, or anything else for that matter. He doesn’t even know what his legal or basketball situation is going to be next year and he’s petitioning the league for a shirt change???
He doesn’t even know which team he might play for because the Wizards don’t seem to want any part of him. To even be thinking “basketball” at the moment shows arrogance or obliviousness to his situation. Take Care of Business First! TCBF Gilbert! Tatoo that to your arm!
The sad part is that the Wizards may be stuck with him. As a Wizards fan I’ve advocated for the last 2 years that they get rid of him. Now we’re left with a destroyed team and nothing to show for years of high draft picks, the trade of Caron, or the trade of Jamison. Welcome to another lost decade!

Does it really matter? IDIOT is an IDIOT! Arenas is gonna do what IDIOT does to himself. Good carrier, good contract worth well into $100M. What does he do? I was hoping he would get 2 years in jail, like Tyson and Vick.
