Cook won't even play so it really doesn't matter. He's the FO's answer for a cheap insurance policy.
Petro's starting already and Graham and Allen have been in the system all season.
You say in your arcticle that Cook "is there to fill the void left by Kenyon Martin being out". That's not the case at all. Clark won't even play. The only "void" he's filling is a spot deep down the bench.

How does this signing speak volumes about where Denver is right now?
Let's recap ... Kenyon is out for an undetermined amount of time. His replacements off the bench are Malik Allen, Johan Petro and Joey Graham.
Allen - can shoot an open jumper, doesn't rebound much and has poor athleticism.
Petro - big body and a legit 7-footer, poor hands, likes to shoot the ball with mixed success and can rebound with pure size.
Graham - built like a linebacker. Loves to drive the ball, limited range and is a bit too short to mix it up on the glass with the big boys.
Denver looked at the available trash heap out there ... Mikki Moore, Jake Voskuhl and the likes and decided to add a shooter to the mix. Who knows if Cook will even get off the bench if Petro and Graham can give meaningful minutes.
This is just a depth move by Denver and Cook gives the Nuggets something they were missing ... a shooting big man.
