Hi Matt,
You and Kate are right on the mark. This team is pathetic. Stephanski passed on the opportunity to change the losing climate and culture of the team. Snider appears to not care about what is going on with this once proud franchise. They run incompetent coaches in and out, while maintaining the same losers (ie. Dalembert, Iguodala).
In my opinion, the remedy for this horrendous team begins at the top. Snider must sell or relinquish control (fat chance). An agreesive, successful GM with a pedigree is needed.
I've been following the Sixers since the 70's and while there were some down years, the 80's more than made up for it. While the Celtics and Lakers have also had their slumps, they have maintained a sustained level of excellence. I believe this is due to their no-nonsense attitude. They are the Steinbrenners of basketball, while we are the KC Royals or the Pirates.
