I’m a die hard Wiz fan, and I was sad that we traded this guy. He’s one of the few guys in the league that can guard any position 1-5, and do at least a decent job. Great Defender.

Way to look up his basic stats really quickly and not look at all at his history or complex stats. I’m gonna guess that you’re not a member of the Houston Rockets scouting team? This guy is highly underrated and found himself underrated and forgotten on a team that could have used him this year. The guy is basically a young Shane Battier — high on-court value, stat line black hole (other than his blocks; averaged almost one per game last year and he’s a 6’9 SF). Someone smart is going to pick him up and start using him, and he’ll become a very valuable role player. The guy is far better than any D-Leaguer, but no, he’s not a highlight-reel, point-scorer. So what?

Just cause you don’t score points doesn’t mean you are not valuable. Dom’s minutes were non existant this year because the Wizards picked up mike miller in the offseason. Last year he started 50 games when the Wiz were depleated by injuries. No he didn’t score alot of points but if you look at last years wages of wins Dom was ranked # 19. Dom is a terrific hustle player who can play lock down D on 4 Different positions on the court. His senior year at fresno state he averaged almost 4 blocks a game and he’s only 6-8. Did I mention he can jump through the roof?? The Kings GM probobly noticed he wasn’t getting playing time this year and his minimum wage contract was set to expire at the end of the year and saw an opportunity to fill a need. Dominic Mcquire will never be an All Star in this league, but he will be a terrific hustle/defensive tough role player coming off the bench for years to come……………..

Its obvious that havent seen Dom McGuire play yet. If you had, you would know that this young man is athletic, energetic and a smart defender. Is this what passes for research? 82games.com? Do you know anything about basketball?? It’s not all about LeBron, so take your head out of you know where and start watching the other phenomenal players that make up this league. Or are you just another suit who thinks watching “sportscenter” during happy hour makes you a legitimate analyst? In the immortal wordsof Sir Charles “Terrible Kenny, Terrible”. Go back to Golf.

just because u dont know who mcguire is dont disrespect the man mcguire had a hell of season last year for the wiz started most games and is one of the best young defenders in the nba, he can pass, rebound, defend, and take it to the whole, doesnt have much of a shot but will work perfect with evans. tyreke and mcguire is going to be a nice combo and hes going to be going back home,smart move for the kings
