Trade deadline passes and Spurs make no moves while Mavs and Rockets get better. *sigh*
And Parker can go too. Shoots too much and is hurt half the time. Hill has stepped up and shown that Parker is expendable if the right offer comes along. Might as well trade him before he opts out and goes to LA when his deal is up.

and another thing..
why is it that i think that if kidd or nash were running the point that rj would be scoring more..??
ill tell yo uwhy because kidd knows how to make marion look like the marion we knew in pheonix..
and the way nash makes stoudemire look in phx…
what is that you ask?
oh simply the pick and running roll where the pg rolls it to the picker while they have a running start…that is amare’s bread and butter and exploits his true athleticism…
why cant parker try to do that more????
becasue he is not looking to do it enough…

tell parker to do that more and not just to look for his shot…
you dont need parker to be your 1 or 2 scorer…he can be a 15 assist a night guy with all the talent the spurs have…timmy in the post, mason and rj in the wings….and manu from anywhere….
or for that matter finley and bonner at the 3 line….
what has gotten lost in the parker develop his shot project was the idea that he wasnt to be a shooting liability…but instead it was decided somewhere that he should take on a bigger scoring role…
does nash or kidd care about this..??? no!
does jason williams or cp3?…
just because you can doesnt mean you shoudl
by helpng the others score — you build their confidence..
and that is what the spurs little of rihgt now…confidence.
a few made buckets a few wins changes a lot of missed shots…and all of a sudden there are no chemistry issues…

the real issue is simply chemistry…and it started before jefferson got there….
ginobli needs to get his contract extension…
the spurs holding out on him is a slap to his face for all the sacrifices and finals wins he game them in their title years.
to say no extension and play wait and see is a slap in the face…
they gave away the piggy bank to david robinson and manu is arguably the more vaulable of the two and certainly the more revered in SA than any spur – ever…
so it starts with stopping manu’s pouting so that he doesnt feel like a red headed step child to parker and duncan…
they are the bid three…and in 07 duncan even knew he did not fully deserve the mvp as much as manu did..
then there is mason and hill….
when manu and parker out last year and these two succeeding with duncan also made manu and parker sweat…
was/is the real key duncan after all?
no.
they were just good tema players that bought into pops system.
in 05 the spurs beat every team at every style…
when they said they were a boring half court team, they kicked pheonix off the court playing their style of ball..
when they went on to play bully big man ball against denver they said they would not be tough enough..and they won.
finally – when they went on to beat cavs it wasnt the spurs beating the heralded ‘ mighty atheltic lebron’..it was lebron was undermanned..
sheesh -
stop giving me a break already!
so to say they are only one style team
is a lie….the truth is that the spurs have just not jelled and pop is to blame in part….because it is clear by his rotations that he is not clear on what kind of team he wants…
with the talent he has he shoudl over analyzing and let the team be athletic fast break when rj in the game and be half court when it is necessary..
they are still able to run the court -even on timmy’s running with a dirty-diaper style of moving around the floor.
pay manu, tell pop to over analyzing,dont pretend timy is without blame in running the court, and create a system that plays to your best players strengths.
ooh as much as it pains me to say as a spurs fan,,,i wonder aloud what kind of success phil jackson would have with this group…
i cant help to think that he might have some more….
esp since i still believe the spurs have the talent to match up overall with the lakers and any other team.
season not over unless pop lets them give up on themselves…
but then there are just bad decisions.

he plays best in a run and gun type offense, not in a half court set like the spurs run. What were they thinking. Let Mason have his minutes.

Dick Jefferson sucks. Pop deserves some blame for not involving him in the offense, but his weak defense and lack of hustle are inexcusable. If the Spurs can’t dump him, they should just send him to the Austin Toros. Most Spur fans (in SA, at least) are sick of looking at him already.

The Spurs are lookig for some one to blame and RJ is the fall guy,it looks like to me the need to trade in that dead offense they be running.
