West beats East in D-League All-Star Game

The West was victorious over the East in the D-League All-Star Game, winning by a final score of 98-81. Brian Butch was named the game’s MVP, finishing with 18 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Butch is a 24-year old center currently playing for the Bakersfield Jam. This is Butch’s first year in the D-League, and he currently averages 16.1 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. 

Former Miami Heat center Earl Barron led the East team with 20 points on 8-10 shooting from the field. High-scoring wing Reggie Williams also had a nice game, getting 17 points on only 11 shots. 
Bench play was the key to the game; the reserves for the West outscored their Eastern counterparts by a final count of 54-20. Butch, Alonzo Gee, and Diamon Simpson were particularly good, combining to shoot 19-26 from the field after starting the game on the bench.
