I’m glad that Kobe has the common sense to know that rest is what he needs right now.It was nice to see the rest of the team pick it up a notch,in his absence,against Portland.I agree that the next couple of games aren’t as important now as they will be during their run to a REPEAT…However,I would like to see him in the All-Star game,if his ankle has healed enough….

Kobe, you already proved so much your greatness and nobody right now can compare it with. We (fans and haters) know how great you are. I want you to sit and rest your body for a while. Forget the All Time because whatever happen, it will be the very very healthy (no injury, no broken fingers) and huge (body) Le bronze will manipulate it. although he is chicken to do the slam dunk contest (gay)…still we now that he could be the all star mvp. Rest your ailing body black mamba and return with a healthy body for the playoff. Also let the other Lakers do their job and make them work hard so that they will know how to play without you. Rest Kobe…we don’t want you at All Star in Dallas. We want you in a playoff and (parade in LA).

While I personally think it would probably be better for Kobe and the Lakers in the end if Kobe takes the week to rest and get healthy, I still would like to see him back Wednesday for the Laker/Jazz game since I am a huge Jazz fan. But in the end, he is going to do what he thinks is best. People always do.

Kobe has done an exceptional job as a leader of his team but now he needs to heal those injuries and concentrate on the Playoffs. If the Lakers play like they played in Portland they can beat any team including Jazz and Spurs.

Kobe should say “the hell with the All-Star game, that’s just a meaningless show.” The Laker’s championship run is more important. He should rest until after the All-Star break, or until his injuries have healed.

Personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing Kobe miss the San Antonio and Utah games, but I would like to see him in the All-Star game.
I look forward to All-Star weekend. I think the LBJ vs. Kobe and Lakers vs. Celtics rivalries can help to restore some sense of competitive spirit in the game.
