Stat is an impact player. His impact is offense. Others can handle defense in order to make possible what he does inside. This is what happens when they win. When they lose, it's not just his fault.
Remember the Terry Porter "era"? Defense. It didn't work cuz it was at the expense of what these particular guys do best -- Running offense. When the offense is tuned and purring, they win. Stat is part of that machine. The Suns' defense mechanism isn't necessarily what loses games. Their offense makes up for defensive glitches.
I say, "Keep him!"

This is an interesting deal. Stats has been playing lights out in Phx, but his defense is like an on/off switch! But, no one can deny that this guy is a monster in the paint and can bring that athleticism to the Sixers. Aa s Suns fan, I will miss Stat, but will not miss his lack of focus on defense.
